The transgender law in Texas makes no sense, amirite?
Is it just me or is this entire transgender law confusing?

It's not like I am saying people should be like "well I'm a girl even though I look completely male and identify as one and thus I can use the bathroom la dee dah" People don't understand that there are a shit ton of gatekeepers in the way of transitioning, and you have to be evaluated to make sure you're doing the right thing. If someone went through the NIGHTMARE that transitioning truly is they sure as hell aren't doing it to rape people in the bathroom (if so you'd hear about it all the time. There are trans people I meed that I COULD NEVER tell)
To force a fully transitioned transwoman into a mens bathroom is very discomforting and will practically be a death/rape/beatdown sentence for that person. And to send Someone who now has male parts into a womans room WILL MAKE ME UNCOMFORTABLE!! I don't wanna pee in the same room as someone who's mentally male who I don't know!!! That's CREEPY!! So if people like this have their way I'll be peeing next to people with penises and moustaches ANYWAY They'll just be trans men.

I don't understand, I know I stopped listening to main stream news for over a decade, but still this takes the cake on confusing. In my mind there is male and there is female and that is all. So the idea of using your birth gender makes no sense. That is redundant.
Why not just make a law that states that humans must breath oxygen? I simply don't get this law and why there is such an uproar about the law.
Me too I think it is all BS so i tune out everything about transgenders. They need to live in the body they came in.
I'm waiting for the dust to clear on this issue, for now I think there is too many ways for people to exploit the transgender issue.
For example, a guy could sneak pictures using his smart phone of woman in a locker room/bathroom.
I do - especially if he wants to go into the restroom where my grand daughter is.

AUSTIN, Tex. — One of the most powerful Republican officials in Texas put the state on the front lines of the nation’s culture wars on Thursday, announcing the filing of a bill that would require people in government buildings and in public schools to use the bathroom that corresponds with their “biological sex.”
The Texas version of the legislation, called Senate Bill 6, or the Texas Privacy Act, would prohibit cities and counties from telling private businesses what bathroom policies to adopt. In addition, local governments would be forbidden to consider a business’s bathroom policy when awarding contracts. The bill would also require school districts, local governments and state agencies to adopt a policy in which bathrooms are designated for and used by people according to their “biological sex,” with some exceptions, including for emergencies and custodial purposes.
This all seems to make perfect sense to me. Boys use the men's room, girls use the women's room.
What doesn't make sense is making silly adaptations for the gender confused.

I'm terrified of a trans woman (dressed like a woman) entering a mens room and getting her ass kicked for dressing that way. Which is what will happen. I hate to say this and it sounds sexist but it's true, it is so easy for a man to feel like their sexuality is threatened. SO VERY easy. At least a good chunk of men. And they respond with INTENSE disproportionate retribution.
OK, here's the deal Janet. You and I both know that transgenders have been using their bathroom of choice for a long, long time. They were under the radar.
Then Obama and the LBGTQ world start thumping their chests and demand that everyone take notice, and you "you better accept me willingly, or it ain't gonna be pretty!" We needed to make special accommodations, allow boys that felt like girls to shower with them in school, etc.

I understand concerns about men dressing like women getting their ass kicked when entering a men's room. My inclination is to advise that person to frequent establishments that cater to that behavior. Some dude wearing Daisy Dukes, a crop top shirt and heels into a biker bar, may have every right to be there and use the men's room, but that doesn't mean going there was a good idea.
The problem is it's not just in the biker bar where shit like this happens. It's in GREENWICH VILLAGE. The alleged gay haven of Manhattan (yeah sure)

but just why make laws about this? Its not like they're gonna check IDs at the restroom door. It's not like a girly looking man can't just fool people anyway.
