From the article: Last November saw the passage of California’s Proposition 57, which authorized the early release of felons whose crimes are deemed nonviolent. This may sound reasonable until one examines the list of crimes so regarded, which includes assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious injury, solicitation to commit murder, rape of an unconscious person, and burglary of a home.
Anyone who thinks assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious injury, solicitation to commit murder, and rape of an unconscious person are non-violent crimes needs to have their head examined.
The incarcerated number is extremely flawed because a number of counties don't place their criminals in prison and instead do worse things...
Such as kill them , or cut off part(s) of their body or let them run free because they're too powerful for them to track and handle.
So the US could lower their prison rate numbers down to 5% by using those other methods bit I'm pretty sure people would find that even worse.
California could become a No Go zone for American Citizens if they don't change things.
CA is already a No Go zone for our family. Who, in their right mind, would want to go to such a dangerous place for Americans? We were there a few years back and were pretty sure we wouldn't go back. It was like we were in another world.
Ohh, that's not good at all. :(
