What makes you think God didn't know?
man has become like us - refers to man knowing about good and evil. Us is Father, Son, Holy Ghost.
If he knew why didn't he just throw them out already. Or why didn't he just not put the tree there. Why get angry at the snake if it was pre-determined?
The Jews did not believe in the holy ghost and son, so how did they reconcile that line in ancient times and today? why did they even write that down then?
You sure have a lot of questions Janet. If I thought for a moment that you were genuinely interested I would try to answer them all. But, I'm a tad suspicious of your intent.
Why would He throw them out? He never said He would throw them out. Why do anything different than what He said He would do?
Your question about the tree is really asking, why didn't God just assume Adam and Eve would blow it - why go through the exercise? For what purpose? What would that prove? That God is more powerful? That He shouldn't be questioned? Suppose that's how the Bible told the story. Would that incline your belief toward God? Make you afraid of displeasing Him? Make you jump through hoops of fire?
God punished the snake. I don't recall there being anything specifically saying He was angry, but I get it, He brought the hammer down.
Where did you read that this was all predetermined?
Regardless what people of the time may have thought or known, God understood his own plurality.
From what I understand (I wasn't there) the scriptures were Divinely inspired. It would be rather presumptuous to change the Word of God, don't you think?
It definitely does not mean that god is not perfect or that the story is fiction. That would be ridiculous
God not perfect? Blasphemy to catholic ears, not mine.
Or so they think. lol I'm sure God is very disappointed in them.
Someone should let the 30% of Christian Democrats know that little tidbit. Ha!
God blesses the money changers don't you know? Remember when Jesus said A rich man can get into heaven with ease?? Me neither.
Maybe if we find that tree we will be able to answer this question. Or maybe we just need pizza? :)
apparently the garden is guarded by a dancing sword that's on fire and a few cherubs (yes the baby things) So we should be able to locate it by those distinct characteristics, and once we find those (I don't see why we shouldn't be able too, as banished humans saw it in the book) we should be able to get past with modern tech.
Oh come onthe bible is just stories myths. Probably he did know and was just waiting to start being mean.
LOL that sounds characteristic of his portrayal. Work on sabbeth! PUT TO DEATH!
She kinda knew but gave them a mind to make their own choices....
He gave them free choice and they messed up big time.
Perhaps their god set them up for failure so that later it could get its rocks off watching them burn in hell?
YA if god is real he is very wicked to humans
It takes about three weeks to unteach all the crap you have learned from random people before you can start learning what the bible actually says. You can do it by yourself, but very few people ever do. It's just too hard to give up the assumption that God is a crabby old man who lives in the sky and smites sinners.
Sorry, there is no way to put it into one snappy paragraph.
probably did know and took that as his means to be mean and hateful.
Ive heard that God in Hebrew is ' Elohim' which translates as " the family". We know that Jesus was up there and if Jesus is the Son, then the Holy Spirit must be the mother. God DID know Adam and Eve would transgress. Google The first book of Adam and Eve and check it out. FASCINATING
