Only votes determine a good post from a mediocre post.
Agree or disagree are not important, foot traffic is.
You can generate comments by responding to others and starting a conversation.
The trick is to get votes from unregistered user. There are only a dozen or so active members so if you get a hundred total votes it was a fantastic post.

A good post is one that does not bait other users in to feuding and fighting like the Hatfield's and McCoy's. I prefer things that I can relate to or that I find funny or relate to people I know.

I think it is the number of different users that comment. These posts that have 20 comments between the same 2 people don't do much for me.
