How miserable can ones life be, to hate so freely?
Sadly it is seen more and more. Just not on here but everywhere. I see it at the store, at work, even when I go for a walk in the evenings. I was raised not to hate, oh you can dislike all ya want but don't hate.
It takes a lot to push me to the point of hate and some have been overachievers in that department but I will do it in silence and typically not for the world to see even though my temper has got the best of me here and at work.
Very sad indeed.
One man's truth is another's hate speech, Vic.
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity."
Agree, often it seems it's not about whether something is right or wrong but whether the people agree with it.
There is plenty going around and it is ugly.
I'm not sure what member you are referring to, but I see a number of members wallowing in hate here, every day. Just look at the posts about Trump (and other subjects). When people make a comment about people filled with hate, too often they are referring to a person/persons who is making comments about something that is polarizing in nature. It's often just perspective. If I were to make a pro-Trump statement, supporting something he did, there are people who would say I am filled with hate. Meanwhile, those same people would applaud hateful comments "about" Trump (or another topic). Same coin, just a different side.
The hypocrisy is stunning.
I meant any one member. I am guilty too. Most people fall into it sometimes but as you say some seem to live there
Why? I don't understand why some people get feelings about
onliners at all. Nothing an onliner says hurts me any more than what a newscaster says about topics of the day.
I am happy that you are above the fray. My emotions are affected by what I perceive other's to be.
Sadly, hate is as natural to us as eating or breathing. The world is like the nets of the fishermen they catch the sweet, the bitter, the deadly, the poisonous all at once.
I have already seen it in less than a month.. Hateful comments, posts, blocking, and trolling. 90% coming from a circle of 4 people that I've noticed.
I do hate some stuff, though, and I don't have problems admitting it.
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
There are many things that I am infuriated by. If that constitutes "hate" in the new PC Encyclopedia. So be it. I do not seek approval, nor agreement. Just a place to be me. I signed no contract that I'd be nice, nor fair... I feel those are the last things the world needs at this point. I try to stay real..
It happens. Some recover, some seems to visit that emotion often.
My whole issue is people asking "why can't you just be nice?" While promoting violent riots... peace is peace, it requires bending both ways. Not just "anybody who agrees with me doesn't deserve my wrath". There have been quite a few invited Right Wing speakers at Liberal Universities lately where violent protests/ riots have taken place.. would love your input on those. :)
All violence is wrong
Free speech is a must
If you don't want to hear it, walk away
Hate is never the answer
Agreed. What the Hell happened over the last decade to destroy "freedom of Speach"? The far left use to welcome all speakers regardless of point of view. Is that no longer the case? Is preventing people from speaking the new method of Free speech? Stuff is starting to get pretty Orwellian on all sides.
