Beer or no Beer

After the Great Britain Beer Festival, in London, all the brewery presidents decided to go out for a beer.
The guy from Corona sits down and says, "Hey Senor, I would like the world's best beer, a Corona." The bartender dusts off a bottle from the shelf and gives it to him.
The guy from Budweiser says, "I'd like the best beer in the world, give me 'The King Of Beers', a Budweiser." The bartender gives him one.
The guy from Coors says, "I'd like the only beer made with Rocky Mountain spring water, give me a Coors." He gets it.
The guy from Guinness sits down and says, "Give me a Coke." The bartender is a little taken aback, but gives him what he ordered.
The other brewery presidents look over at him and ask "Why aren't you drinking a Guinness?" and the Guinness president replies, "Well, I figured if you guys aren't drinking beer, neither would I."

Lol - but I am a total beginner in Pig Latin, if it looks like this. So, I can't even find out if it is excellent or not. It looks a bit like a kind of slang, known in French as "verlan". hehe smilie

Ginger Beer

INGREDIENTS
3 1/2 TBSP grated ginger root (I use ground ginger)
1/2 cup sugar (or more)
pinch salt (I usually forget the salt and can't tell the difference.)
1/4 tsp bread yeast
water

EQUIPMENT
2 liter pop bottle (NO SUBSTITUTES! Use an actual plastic pop bottle.)

Bread yeast produces less than 10% alcohol, so using more sugar makes a sweeter drink.

Put all ingredients in the bottle. Fill with water leaving about 1 1/2" space and twist gently to mix. Squeeze the bottle to expel the air and tighten the cap. Put the bottle in a warm place about 90F for 24 to 36 hours. When the bottle feels very firm, put it in the refrigerator to stop the yeast action.

I drink beer in moderation, thankfully I don't get the big urge to have beer often. Perhaps 5-6 times a month

guiness is disgusting

@Anonymousmouse guiness is disgusting

I am not a great expert - I tried different kinds or brews in different countries, and most of them were quite nice. Those I liked less were too sweet.

Well, what would you recommend?

@Marianne I am not a great expert - I tried different kinds or brews in different countries, and most of them were quite...

i like milder stuff haha, if its bitter i do not like it. I like winter ale (might be too sweet for you)(also depends on company, one company i tried was bitter and tasted aweful, another company aka Grandville Island brewery makes a great tasting one). I like Alexander keith IPA, I do not like any other IPA as it is too bitter haha, I like corona, from ireland i like HAARP, I like richards red, and black,

essentially if its not bitter I probably like it, haha

Lol - indeed, I don't like them too sweet or too bitter - just well "rounded" to suit hearty dishes with vegetables, like potatoes, beans, cabbage, lettuces, turnips, carrots, etc., with or without cheese, eggs, meat, fish, etc.
