Do you think our economy has been designed to crash hard again and if so, when do you predict its decline? If not, why not?

As long as Trump is president everything will be crashing.

Designed to crash? I don't think so. Our economies appear to go through cycles of prosperity and recession/depression (see below). Any prediction I could give would be based on nothing but supposition and would not be of much value.

  • Depression of 1920–21
  • Great Depression (Wall Street Crash of 1929)
  • Early 1980s Recession
  • Early 1990s Recession
  • Early 2000s Recession (dot-com bubble)
  • Great Recession (Subprime mortgage crisis)

You give them more credit than they deserve. It isn't designed that way, it's cyclical, but our attempts to fill the money-hole every time it happens make each new crisis much worse than the last.

What we see in our market right now is reminiscent to what our economy looked like prior to Nasdaq bubble. Remember that? Took 9/11 and the Iraq war to pull us out of that and before we even had both feet solidly on the ground we were heading for round two with the "there will always be a demand for houses" bs.

Heck of a price-tag, that!
