why wasn't stalin and his government brought to world court?

Stalin and his COMMUNIST government killed 20 million people, that's 9 million MORE killed then Hitler.

we always attack hitler for his genocide (as we should) but we ignore the atrocities committed by COMMUNISM!
why was stalin and his evil government not brought to world court and charged with the same crimes as Hitler? both commited acts of genocide. is it not hypocricy to attack one but not the other?

I believe it is because people want communism here in north america, so they ignore the fact that more have died under communism then under fascism. I don;t want to see either political systems take hold in my country, both are EVIL! and both parties are socialist. explains a lot.

Probably the main reason is that they were the enemy of our enemy (Nazi Germany). Interesting tidbit: if taken separately, the Eastern Front (WWII) alone is the largest military confrontation in history. 27 million Russians and 4 million Germans lost their lives in the struggle.

Joseph Stalin was the dictator of Russia. He ruled by fear, eliminating his rivals and sending millions of others to the Gulag. Much of it had nothing to do with Communism.

that doesn't matter evil is evil and should not be tolerated

if what stalin did had nothing to do with communism then what Hitler did had nothing to do with fascism, SMH, but you are proving my point, when communists kill, liberals try and seperate the killer and communism but when a fascist leader kills they quickly link the leader with that political belief. you know, a lot of people who died in Russia was because of the economic system, they where poor as hell because the oh so 'caring" communist government had stolen all their money, and destroyed the farms, so no money to buy the food that was not made because their was no farms. so communism did KILL, this also on top of all the people Stalin killed by death in camps or by gun point etc.

communism and fascism are both socialist systems and both are evil,

Evil is evil and should not be tolerated. Totally agree.

I didn't mean to suggest that Stalin had nothing to do with Communism. He most certainly did.

My opinions: Communism is an economics system. It has to do with the allocation or scare resource, just as Capitalism. Many communist countries are also authoritarian, but that does not mean the terms or concepts should be intermingled.

Capitalism <> Democracy
Communism <> Authoritarianism
