Do you wish you had spent less time focusing on having the nice car and nice house and more time instilling values and spending time with your kids?

Many parents try to give their kids what they didnt have like a real nice house, a nice car, nice clothes and in turn spend less time actually spending time with their kids and when they become teenagers hear things like " All you care about is work" or " you dont even know me". Somewhere have parents forgotten about what is most important? ( and it isnt the stuff) I mean, what good is a nice house if your kids keep running away from it?
