On SH, I remember getting about 60 Comments on average per Question. On here you might get a paltry 10. And it's mostly given by family or friends...
Yes... It is true. We need at least 10 new ppl every day.
And what we have to work with are the same ppl everyday... It feels like it gets to be like a family... And a dysfunctional family at that.
You know that saying "familiarity breeds contempt?" That is what is happening on here.
I think the grieving stage is over. But it still is a marker to look up to for comparing.
You always compare better than you and worse than you...just to know where you stand.
Of course SH was not better than us in all aspects; but as far as graphics and membership, they were....and that is the marker for us.
We still have Trolls, they just go by "anonymous". If it's an anonymous post, I don't even read it anymore. I think I enjoyed the large numbers on SH for the different perspectives and I don't know if the numbers here are increasing. With a small group of posters, it's become somewhat recidivistic. I'm hoping it grows because it has potential but I find myself spending less time on here lately.
You stated it very well.
SodaHead was one-of-a-kind. Both the good and the bad aspects of it but it's gone now and people need to let it go. There is still no less than a half dozen or more SH groups on Facebook. I participate in none of them. No matter how much people want to revive it, that site is dead and gone.
Some ppl were on Soda for a long time. It generally takes 6 months to go through the stages of grief...perhaps it might take some people longer than others.
And I agreed the first time, when Will said it.
Please, the 'original' is always better.
And a site needs to attract them, in the first place.
The whining about Sodahead will be what drives people away from this site. Give it up already and work on making this site more user friendly.
Probably not but it could happen.
No, it won't be as good. This site does not have the money or time invested in it, like SH had.
I agree, but Fef did put a lot of money in building that site. It was not cheap looking by any means.
It's no longer a site, of any kind.
No, what others said: is that you would bring down this site, and they were right.
I wasn't referring to the fact that he was a mod, I was referring to his personality in general.

It feels like it gets to be like a family... And a dysfunctional, even co-dependant, family at that.
You've been here 1 year and 9 months.
