I do believe in God, and Jesus the Son of God, and those that believe in Jesus will spend eternity with God the Father in Heaven after death. I believe through Christ is the only path to salvation and ever lasting life.
I thank you very much for respecting my beliefs. As I do yours. Sometimes I hesitate to state what I believe because so many people like to trash me, not so much on this site, but it was terrible on Sodahead.
As the Sibyl answered Claudius to his question, "And after I cross the River Styx, what then?":
"What then, Claudius? You'll dream a different dream, I promise you."
I believe there is another dimension we enter when we pass on. Whether there is a supreme being behind all of this, I just don't know.
And you know this how........?
Meaning, you don't know shit..... Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
You know, it's a worn out tired old argument, you present. Meaning, that if someone believes in life after death, they have to be able to prove it.
Why don't the non believers PROVE IT, for a change?
More like 'arrogance'. Man always has to be in control.
Not sure, I talk to god often but only simple problems are ever solved.
I tried believing in God for a long time, but eventually I had to admit to myself that there is probably nothing out there.
I believe my consciousness is a function of my human brain. When I die, my brain will stop functioning, and so my consciousness will cease to be. Obviously none of us really know, but I suspect it will be similar to how it was before I was born. It won't hurt.
I believe what Jesus said. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." - John 14:6
No, I don't believe in it. I think we just die.
Yes I do believe in God, and Jesus Christ is the way. Jesus made heaven passable for human souls, so He is the VIP pass. There might be other ways to keep people out of hell, but that doesnt mean they will go to heaven. They might go to a Purgatory party and wait for judgement day, ...I dont know!
The judge says to the prisoner "You will be executed within the week, but you won't know when until the executioner arrives. The prisoner reasons "It can't be on Saturday because If I were still alive on Friday I would know when it's going to happen. By the same reasoning, it can't happen on Friday, or Thursday, or Wednesday, or Tuesday, or today. I will not be executed!" The executioner walks in Wednesday morning and strangles him. He forgot the part of the sentence "You will be executed."
The point of the story is that believing only counts when you know and accept the truth. Just making stuff up is not useful, and letting other people tell you what they made up is not useful either. You have to learn the truth by yourself. That requires documented evidence. Only a few religions offer documentary evidence. Have you studied any of them? Or do you let strangers tell you those fairy tales that are obvious nonsense?
Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians.
I believe that Jesus is the right way for those who know of Him. I think other religions have their own "Jesus" and thats right for them but He may have a different name. I think we are all a part of God, and everything in existence is of God. Therefore we will never cease to be, because we have eternal souls. We are limited in our thinking, so we try to contemplate existence from a human perspective. I think the eternal soul has free will and can choose to come back or go to the origin of our energy source, or we can wander around earth while we decide.
i believe in god
