Of course, this may change...as sushi is pretty good, too.
I love pizza, and would never eat raw fish. lol
But it IS really good!
Different strokes for different folks. lol
Sushi IS yummy
But, for me, pizza is comfort food
although; I just can't bring myself to even try sushi.
Jerry! It's possible you need an eating experience from a master... You know how people take Art Apreciation or Music Apreciation courses; this sort can teach you how to enjoy sushi...or at least see it differently...
NOW, I'm NOT saying you will ever love sushi...but it may just give you an Apreciation about what it is... Millions of people all over LOVE sushi...have you thought there might be something about it that you've missed?
If you were a regular person I Wouldn't chase this; but you are a chef with a palate...
I'm not trying to change your mind...never!... I am just hoping you might, in the future, re-think this.
Okay! I'll try a piece of Salmon Roll the next time Lillian gets it. Hopefully I won't gack all over the place.
I'm not technically a chef, just in my own mind.
Unless it's Jersey pizza from a real Italian family business, I'll take the Sushi.
What, exactly...won over you for sushi?
My wife and I were out with another couple and we tried it out. I liked it. Just no octopus or eel. I like salmon, tuna, white fish, etc.
Yum...with the right dips in concession...amazing.
You got poor advise.
Ha Ha!! A little wasabi sauce can make a big taste difference.
I have a cousin that came up to visit from texas. My sister took her out to a japanese joint up here.
She took a big spoonful of wasabi, put it on whatever bite she was taking, and consumed it.
She thought it was guacamole.
Apparently, she didnt flinch
They like it hot on that side of my family!
Now that would bring tears to my eyes. Ha!
I would feel it for a week.
I've tried Sushi many times, and I don't care for it. I'll take the pizza.
I enjoy sushi, but I could live on pizza.
I got some good pizza the other day...from all places - Costco...lemme check the box...
It's called Pizza & Love...a box with 2 (large) pizzas.
It is New York style...and the crust is with olive oil from Italy.
The reason I like it is that it feels like the tomato sauce has a layer of cheese on top with all the other toppings... So when you bite in it...you can feel the distinct tomato sauce layer...with the cheese and other toppings on top... I prefer it over the Chicago Pizza style...altho that is good also...
I love Costco!
I debated this with myself all day.
Good pizza is amazing and even bad pizza is edible. And bad sushi can actually kill you... but,
Really good sushi (sashimi grade raw fish) is so sublime that very few things in this world can compare. The texture, the subtle hint of ocean breeze, the smooth mouthfeel, the delicate aroma of freshness and inherent flavor of nature's umami, for me have never been surpassed.
So, although better can mean many things, in this instance - when comparing an uncompromisingly delicious pizza to superbly crafted serving of sushi, I must disagree. I am convinced, all things being equal, I would always choose the later over the former.
It has to do with palate. Amirite?
The palate might not be into a sushi experience. It takes learning....(?)
I had some bad sushi...and it has turned me off of sushi for a while. I'm hoping tho, not for long....
I told my sister about your tip of anchovy paste...now we are looking for it...not easy to find.
Find it by the canned clams.
Good tip...yes...thank you Carla...
My pleasure, sukie
Pizza is better if you are hungry, single and it is budget time of the month, any other time is Sushi time.
Hey!! Welcome hon!! Come back, stay awhile...and keep coming back. Like, you know, SodaHead. Remember?
