Weetabix when I could get it, hard to find in the states, otherwise Nabisco have to do.
I'd pour on a bit of hot water and then melt the butter over it.
Sounds like me mum.
As a kid: Now: I know! Not much of a move up, huh? Ha!
We have the same taste in cereal. lol
Yeah I like Rice Krispies I hate honey though
Wow Tiff i feel like u jumped on this post with a grenade screaming Allah Akbar.. : )
We never had cereal growing up, my Mom always fixed a hot breakfast. Sometimes she did fix oatmeal, but usually bacon and eggs. But I like cereal now and I eat it quite often for breakfast. I like Honey Nut Cheerios.
Me and my two siblings will have to have our own box of our favorite cold cereal period we would put it in front of us like a wall blocking each other and would throw a tantrum if one person started reading the back of the others box.. can you imagine screaming " mom he's reading my box make him cut it out.." but I needed that you are sugar energy I had many things to climb on a Saturday morning and stitches to be had
sorry about the inconsistency of my wording I talk text a lot while I'm driving the Brooklyn accent does not work well with talk text
No problem, I know what you're saying even with that Brooklyn accent. Some tell me I have a Southern accent. lol Y'all come on over, and sit a spell. You think? lol
I have a lot of friends from all over but the ones from the south that relocated here ..I meet a lot of them at the VA when I go there ..and theyre like ..hey boy come sitcha ass down a spell.. they got me saying it and I talked a little Southern slang just from being in the service and so many people from Indiana in the Carolinas being my roommates
I love the deep South accents and also the New England states, especially Maine.
Yeah New England is really nice I go traveling by car in the fall looking for antiques.. nice little cabins to stay in for a day or two I just browse little towns we try to do that a couple of times in autumn
That's the best time of year up there, with all the Fall foliage...it's so beautiful.
It certainly isn't as you travel farther up north it looks like a wave of color changing from green to Orange to Red to Brown
I know, we were in Connecticut in the Fall one year and it was just like looking at a photo, so beautiful.
But here in Indiana we have beautiful Fall foliage as well.
Talk to you soon got to go into some estimates now
I was in the Marine Corps with a lot of guys and Indiana it seemed to be a lot of New Yorkers and a lot of people from Indiana so we had such a weird mix of a friendship but we used to try to outdo each other with everything especially partying but that was with some of the strongest friendships between two states oddly enough
I agree, I love the English accents. They are so refined and precise.
I've never heard you speak, but you're English and I'm sure you speak very well, it's your spelling that has to go.
You taught me everything I know. lol
Like I said your spelling has to go. lol
Now you've done it, you're in big trouble.
As a kid Count Chocula / Super Sugar Crisp..Now Post Blueberry Mornings
I loved Cream of Wheat as a kid, and now my favorite is Oat Bran ... the taste and texture is pretty similar.
Good stuff i always keep some in the cupboard for thickening things. Rice krispies when i was a kid I liked to sing snap crackle pop. I eat mostly mini wheats and banana now.
As a kid....Cookie Crisp. As an adult....Cookie Crisp.
I can eat them every once in awhile to tell you the truth what bothered me most is I think they were made by Ralston Purina which always made me think of cat food
Haha, yes it was until GM bought it in like the late 90's. I suppose it's no worse than Phillip Morris having owned Marlboro, Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, and Milkbone dog treats.
I don't know if I get the munchies I don't mind eating Milk-Bones mixed with macaroni and cheese and chainsmoke while I glom the whole Bowl down.. I believe it's in the Triangle of healthy diet
You need to copyright this. the Surfcrab Food Pyramid.
I no longer have the pyramid Rosie O'Donald ate the entire thing
Speaking of triangles...how is the boy?
Haha you remember well he was in the horrific accident so now he has half a hexagon on his head
Call me sentimental, he'll always be a triangle...
(OMG! I'm getting sentimental???)
maybe that's where he gets it cuz the kids a Sentimentalcase
My favorite growing up was Count Chocula. Now it's any cereal that has a decent Total Carbs to Fiber ratio.
Yes I listed count chocula is one of my childhood favorites
Always has been and always will be Lucky Charms and Honey Nut Cheerios
I used to Jones for the marshmallows so I would sit them out I would have that one miraculous Bowl
I wish they would bring out a box that was just all marshmallows. I would be one happy country girl if they did
Yes and that would make me a Happy New Yorker
Maybe we should email them and request it
Yes we will tell them the entirety of the United States the man's boxes of Lucky Charms marshmallows. By the way did you ever noticed Lucky Charms have the same shape as Meow Mix cat food or at least really similar
I thought I was the only one that ever noticed that
I have a died up bag of mini marshmallows in my treat drawer. So see just leave a bag open they get hard.
Oh that is a really good idea. Thank ya for sharing.
Sift them out
Captain Crunch, then and now. Didn't get it much then and don't now, though.
Youth, Cheerios, now Honey Nut Cheerios
Rice Krispies and Rice Krispies
Same. Crispix. I love that stuff. :)
I have never liked cereal
