Yup! There is no monopoly on bad behavior.
It somehow is more of a let down when you find out someone is a Christian. Amirite?
Not to me. I'm good with Christians right up until they tell me I'm going to burn in hell, or with Muslims until I hear death to infidels. Then I have to go and "UNFRIEND" the douchenozzles. :)
Not all christians are good people.
And.....what will said
I was raised in a Christian home and yes I can be both a sinner and a saint.
I ain't always so innocent
Not all christians are good people. Some are the worst kind of people you can meet.
There are more expectations on Christians.
THAT is where it gets squirrley.
Personally...I prefer NO expectations on my head... You?
That is me, sukie
I also try not to impose them, either
And it is true. You have none. But with some ppl, I can see them like signs written on top of their heads.
Not good to live your life disappointing and being disappointed
That may be true, but it shouldn't be.
Christians have made a commitment. This gives their behaviour more emphasis.
You think only Christians make commitments to their religion?
Of course not.
But...that was the topic
My question was to Sukie cause her comments seem tunnel visioned to me. Jews, Muslims and Christians all make commitments to their religions.
Im sorry, will.
Please excuse me...
No...certainly not.... but this topic is mostly about Christians....
That is where the hypocrisy lies.
And this is also why family should not indoctrinate children to the point where they become Christians...before they know what they want in life... Happened to me.
Happens to many.
I love my parents for giving me options
We Christians are just like every one else. We sleep, we eat, we play, we even have fun, and we sin just like everyone else. And we shouldn't be held as role models to anyone else.
Self Described "Good People" who rely on "Group Think" to validate said "Goodness", are less likely to be good all on their own.:)
Can't have good without the bad...such is life.
Why not change the word Christian into Muslim?
The book of Romans carefully explains that behavior doesn't count. Either you believe and are saved or you don't believe and are lost.
SmartAZ...do you believe what you read?
Yes. If you ignore what the dingbat preachers tell you and just read the bible, it makes sense.
