If I am cutting up hot peppers or eating hot wings I will do both. Otherwise I just do the after.
Usually just after .... unless I've been into something very questionable beforehand.
Beer and hot buffalo wings might change your mind. :)

Move the waste basket within reach of the door, wash hands, open door with paper towel and pitch it. If they have electric dryers, you're sol.
What about opening the door to enter?

It depends on what I am doing beforehand, sometimes both, sometimes just after.

Sometimes I wash both before and after....and I've called people back in washrooms who have gone out of the without having washed their hands.
How many people can testify to doing that...

That's ludicrous.. then i'd have to wash my elbows..
I've often wondered if I am the only person the reads the paper, goes to the bathroom and obsessively wash my hands before I go and then again after.
For some reason newspapers make me want to wash my hands - perhaps it is the content??
