Oh come on...I just bought a new phone and I am still trying to figure the darn thing out.
It would possibly bring about the exact set of circumstance that would allow me to rule the world. I have a plan you see.
Well you don't see, because then you would have my plan. Then there would be two people trying to rule the world, and, we couldn't play pinball to see who got to win because of the lack of electricity.
Man, so much for that plan.
It is ok, I have now devised another plan (V 7822.214.171.124.1) which seems to be failsafe.
Unless there is someone out there with a wildcat, a length of yarn and some re hydrated spaghetti, because if there is, that plan is fucked.
If you are reading this and you have these three things, can you please let me know, because I would really rather make another plan altogether.
I'd still figure a way to get to NewZealand. :)
Best place to be mate :) I shall set aside a Society Exit Package for you.
Appreciate it brother. :)
Is your real name MacGyver?
No water...No live..
We would have to collect water in a rain barrel or walk to some water source.
Seriously linn. If the electricity ever goes out. Where your phone doesn't work and your car doesn't start.. start filling anything you can think of with water before the pressure in the pipes runs out.
Well, even if there isn't electricity, my car should start, but I get your point. I keep several gallon containers of water in the house and canned food for at least 2 weeks.
If there was an EMP attack, only Very old cars would still function.
Why is that if a car runs on its battery not an outside electrical source?
It's all electrical systems that would be fried. Including cars, cell phones, flashlights, even calculators. Everything. Back up generators would be dead as doornails. No discrimination. EMPs are crazy, whether caused by Solar flares or Nukes detonated in the atmosphere, same effect. For decades the Chinese have been upgrading their nuclear weapons. Not to yield a higher explosive, to produce a higher EMP. It is believed that it would only take three of these weapons detonated in the atmosphere to literally shut down every electrical system in the US for Decades, not weeks. Those who have really looked at it believe a 2% survival rate may be a bit high.
Considering that California usually has rolling blackouts every summer, and that's without nuclear weapons, NK would have no trouble screwing around with the rest of the electrical grid. Hard to believe our grid is one for a first world country.
Yup. Though it wouldn't be NK. It would be the Chinese directly. Why? Land. Feeding 1.2 Billion people isn't easy.
I'm not sure China would take on another nuclear power.
It's actually a fairly easy task. Two shot up in space from Chinese freighters. One on the west coast and one the East coast. The third would have to be shot off from Mexico. What nuclear power would they face, when nothing could be proven and the intended target has been sent back to the stone age. Literally?
Yes. Fiction. Though very Plausible fiction.
You may be right.
Or produce water with four sticks, a pebble and a piece of plastic tarp..
I'll get water...and the next thing will be to find coffee..
You'll have to show me how to make water with sticks, a pebble and a tarp. I'll bring the coffee.
It's easy to set up but it takes a while to produce..
Condensation builds up on the tarp and drips down..
Probably get some water somewhere else first..
Probably easier to wait for it to rain and collect the water in the tarp. :)
Probably would be lol
I could survive if the grocery store could survive, and my work could survive, and I guess Amirite would become Amistone, and we'd use tablets...
... and I see the obesity epidemic taking a nose dive with the new car too...
Like many I suspect I would survive, but only for a short while.
For a while, at least. We try to not depend on electricity but we couldn't last for more than a couple of months with just what we have right now.
I would survive. Would I take it gracefully? No. Coffee. Coffee. I must have coffee.
It's possible I would survive...maybe.
It's possible I wouldn't... But the will to live is strong. I was doing really bad when the electricity went down for a couple of hours....back shortly.
For a while. I have a backpack, tent, water purifier and plenty of food in the cabinet. Coordinating where to go with my family would be hard since we're in different states
