And this time...I'd do it right.
I wouldn't mind that. But I would like to keep my memories.
You know...why don't we have the cars they showed in one of the versions? The Flying ones? Earth highways are getting too full.
After this week I am more than ready...
I subscribe to the theory that I'm the progenitor of my problems, so if I went to some alternate universe, I'd still be dogged by the same problems, just perhaps a different version of them.
You're right...but yes...just to get a break and a different version.
But would Judge Judy do it?
I once saw Judge Judy award a plaintiff a new desktop computer because the defendant damaged their keyboard.
Ha ha...and suddenly get a major upgrade...
I always get the feeling that she has the answer already when she reads the depositions...
She probably does, I wonder how often she changes her mind based on the court proceedings? Overall she seems to be a fair judge, but nobody's perfect.
She can probably visualize the people before they come in....
In order to go to court with her as a judge...they have to get your approval. Why would anyone want her as a judge...on TV notwithstanding.... I certainly wouldn't. JJ is fair but chintzy/fair....not generous/fair.
As I recall, on JJ both parties to the case receive a couple grand for doing it. If there's any money to be paid to either party, it comes from what they're paid to be on the show and the ruling cannot exceed that amount. So it's kind of a no risk way for the people involved to settle a dispute, at worst, you just won't get any money.
Different is still better than the same old.
When you wake up tomorrow, tell yourself you did.
Mind over matter
I'll take the problems I already know over ones that may surprise me even more. Think of the girl who wanted to be beautiful and her wish was granted. The only problem was that in the bargain she was blind - she would never see her own beauty.
Some days Ithink we all feel that way.
You are already there.
Yes. Yes. This is for the others.
Others? The aliens? 乂ᴼₒᴼ乂
The ones who haven't read Bringers of the Dawn...
In all the pain and misery that I have encountered or ever will encounter I wouldn't want to trade my life for anything.
Starting with a clean slate is just an excuse to get it dirty all over again.
We'll always make mistakes, but we can either choose to regret them and let it follow us or we can choose to learn from them and progress forward.
What if you could choose to learn from mistakes...and then still go to a new Universe...and start all over again...but of course not making the same mistakes again...
You would be wise from the first mistakes but guaranteed if in a new life there'd still be plenty of opportunities to make different mistakes and have different regrets. Unless you're talking about a universe where everything works out the way you want it to.
Every moment in life is precious and irreplaceable, it may not seem that way sometimes but you'll never get the same moments twice we live them out as they come and go.
