I rarely eat at them. It doesn't pay for me to go to them because I don't eat much when I do go out
Dont do buffets.
a) i cant stand the idea of dirty hands, drippy noses, etc. Hard enough to trust when my food is cooked to order.
b) i cant eat that much at one sitting:)
All good points...
Guilty as charged.
And going to a buffet requires strategy; you need to pace yourself and there are guideline like; allow for time in between gorges...also...mostly get food you don't ordinarily get a chance to eat...unless of course those bread rolls look particularly scrumptious...
Haha...Always face people and chew carefully...Note Bene...
As boring as this may sound, I look at my diet like medicine, so I only eat what I need and I count the calories and nutritional value in everything while trying to keep the sodium and sugar intake low. I have to adjust this every year that I get older and my metabolism slows so that my weight and muscle mass can stay the same.
So a buffet for me is more of the dietary equivalent of going to Woodstock and getting naked and stoned in the mud. Something that seems like a fun idea but I usually avoid because of the after-effects :)
What's the point of all of this...since all we do is face the inevitability of death?
It's a great point. Well for me, it's about making me feel good right now. So many seem to just do drugs or drink or be lazy or take advantage of others etc, but me feeling good is about feeling like I did when I was 26, so that means none of the above and keeping the same body weight and doing the fun things I've always liked to do while helping others feel good and feeling connected with at least someone.
Now...do you think you might meet someone who feels the same way? What if you meet someone who parties...what will you do?
It's unlikely that I'll meet someone like me let alone find that they're single. They'd have a queue of guys a mile long before I ever met up with them. If I met someone who parties, it's cool too provided that there's respect and a connection etc. Plus they'd have to put up with me looking out for their health
Definitely...going to buffets requires a strategy but it's always worth it....
Nope, and I don't do buffets.
Neither do I... But I only did it since we won it...so I decided it was worth some strategy....
Sounds good for a one-off :)
I have a high metabolic rate so overeating isn't usually a worry for me ;)
Nope I don't eat at buffets. The most common way to get food poisoning. And an excellent place for would be terrorists to play with your food.
Was at a place recently that had a simple salad bar. I watched as three kids went through and used their bare hands on every ingredient they put on their plates, while at the same time Mom was watching and didn't say a thing. I commented "well at least you are the next person in line, if anybody is going to get sick.." she didn't get it. Just looked at me like I was stupid. No Sir! No Buffets for me!
To tell the truth...I stay away as well... And I have gotten sick for a week due to buffet food poisoning.
I also can't eat that much!! Not enough appetite...or interest.
Not really, I still eat a normal meal earlier in the day.
