It's considered a veg.
This is a pepper, right?
Here's the link:
I love carrots...ha...
I'm glad you do, I just might have the prefect carrot for you
Interesting...so that's what morels look like...ever cooked with them?
Oh yes, they are delicious:
An idea for a sauce:
Thanks! Like a mushroom....
You're welcome, Sukiesnow; yes, it is one of the most appreciated mushrooms ...
Jackfruit or nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus)
X - I'll pass
also called Xigua fruit
You know it's difficult for me to look up fruit and plants on this iPad. And it takes the fun out of Games! Contributions s/b off the cuff...otherwise it takes too much work. :)
That is why I am trying to help - knowing about your technical problem with your iPad - with pictures and some additional funny words - and not as a main answer. And - there are also English learners here.
If that was awkward, please accept my apologies.
That's okay! I just feel a bit bad about not being able to contribute like you do...
Don't feel bad; it is your material - you are good. And I have a more voluminous material, which is not so "mobile", but which allows to find the nice pictures and links for info. (I know how it feels like to have no pictures; we had rarely illustrations at school.)
"Urgenta" Potato (a cultivar, Solanum tuberosum 'urgenta')
I thought this game would be easy...it's not!
Lol - the Urgenta potato is a widely known cultivar in Europe, much like the "Bintje".
But it is true, for certain letters, it is difficult, and some fruits or vegetables might be repeated, as it is very long and tedious to check every time which of them was already mentioned.
Good idea for a spring salad:
Dioscorea alata, purple yam
Duck is off the mark. Please check post question.
You could delete this comment and replace it with "daikon".
Hello, Sukiesnow, there are plants called duckweed and duck potato - see above, and both are edible (I checked).
Lol - and daikon was already used.
By the way, there's also an African midicinal legume called Duck plant, cancer bush, or balloon pea
P.S. read "medicinal" (the typing error could not be corrected).
So is duck a fruit or a plant? :)
Well a fruit is a plant so
True. I guess the question was a fruit or a veg. Oh well. I'm sure a duck fits in there somewhere. :)
It has eggs so in my book it's a fruit.
Mmmmmm yes fruit eggs are so good
Lol - there are indeed several kinds of fruits.
There are several duck plants, although, duck (alone) refers rather to a bird belonging to the family Anatidae (like geese and swans) than a plant - lol.
Hello, Will and Wunderscore; you are probably thinking of Duckweed, which is, indeed, also edible for humans (for example in South East Asia):
It is a water plant, has tiny fruits, and is also known as water lens (the whole plant is used like a vegetable).
There's also a duck potato with edible tubers:
Xigua - another word for watermelon
Zig Zag Vine Fruit
Great idea - they say that the cactus pear or barbary fig tastes a bit like water melon:
I"Ve heard it can be tasty.
And - if it is as juicy as a water lemon, it is very refreshing on a hot summer day.
Oops - I meant watermelon - lol.
Dahlia tubers (edible)
Oh yes, it is pretty and tasty, a kind of endive.
Huito (Genipa americana)
Interesting; is it this recipe?
Yes, it might be a good summer idea ...
Queensland ebony fruit
or snow pea
Urad bean (or black Mungo)
