Concerning "deep love". I should have been clearer when I wrote "deeply" in my question. I'm not a native speaker so I had trouble thinking of a better way to put it. Just to clarify: when I wrote "loved someone deeply" I was trying to refer to "love that has become deeper over time" -- a feeling that has grown more intense over time and is particularly hard to forget, so it's especially hurtful to have lost the chance to be open about it. (I'm not a native speaker)
