In a gay bar, our Platty once planned
To discover the facts, all first-hand.
He assumed a brave stance,
To give it a chance,
And found he was MUCH in demand.
Our Plat had a DIFF'RENT design;
T'wards such studies he DID not incline.
He was nervous and stressed
As he stood, his bum pressed,
'Gainst the wall, near the "NO ENTRY" sign.
You racist! No wait a minute...
Semple, do you realize you down voted your own comment? :)
When I was in Sydney once I was looking for a place to eat and drink and I saw a hotel named after my home town, so I thought, that's a nice idea... then suddenly I thought...hmm where are all the women and... how come all these guys are so well dressed and keep talking to me
Seems like you must of been there a while. I just want to know how long it took before it occurred to you...LOL
Roughly about the time the first guy started chatting me up I actually had no idea until then but when I saw all guys first I thought, must be some kind of guys club lol
Hopefully you felt as stupid as I did. LOL
Yep pretty much. The locals I talked to thought it was hilarious as everyone knew :)
I've never been in a gay bar.
Can't remember it's name but we group of entirely straight people innocently wandered into one in Cardiff one Saturday evening in the eighties. We stayed until chucking out time.A great time was had by all.I still remember the hangover.
Is that the same night you stripped down playing strip poker?乂^◡^乂
Haha LOLZ. 乂^◡^乂
Rose's the bouncer stopped me with a hand on my chest. She was a largish woman with a build like a linebacker and a military style crew cut. She said, "you know this is a lesbian bar, right?"
I said in the deepest voice I could muster "that's why I'm here." I had a great time and know one seemed to care what my gender or my preference was.
Visted? None. Walked into, unaware? The Blue Oyster in San Fran back in the 80's.
That's it.... I was "set up", by my team..
They were all from San Francisco and I was at Ft Lewis, WA., and just down for an activity.
I only frequent establishements that welcome everyone. There's too much division in the country - we don't need to constantly find more ways to keep ourselves away from one another.
I don't know of any that are 100% gay, but there are a couple where groups of gay folks coexist with straight folks. People don't talk much about it. They just drink their beers and mind their own business. I think that's pretty interesting for a mostly conservative town.
I don't recall the name of the place but I just went last year to pick up a friend and his boyfriend who were to drunk to drive home.
the one my (used to be) friend lied to me about, said we were going to a regular pub then took us to a gay bar, i did not set foot in the place,
I refuse to set foot into such places. sorry, the same "friend" i mentioned grabbed my butt once too, and I came inches from giving him what for.
do NOT touch my butt, and do not lie to me and bring me somewhere I DO NOT SUPPORT. after these acts I stopped talking to him,
I had a friend back in high school that was gay and she wanted to go to her first gay bar but was nervous and asked me to go along. I was quite nervous myself, haha. It was actually a good time though...the name of the bar was Hershees. The karaoke was way better than other bars I had been to.
