Yes...I can race a car around a track at speeds of 120 mph...I can drive a back road at 115mph on a foggy night...I can't parallel park to save my life😘
Haa! I feel you on that LP. I've had some parking issues of my own. Fortunately, my aunt gave me some tips and after a couple years of practice working in the city, I finally got it.
Wanna know the secret or are you more comfy up in that tree ;P
I would love too...Well I do like a good tree but the neighbors sure don't
If there's anyone around, I don't parallel park, I drive around until I find another spot. lol
We have no where here that I can think of that has parallel parking. I do the same thing if i go somewhere lol
I will walk to miles and park somewhere else if I have to do that.
I haven't even tried to parallel park for years. Most parking spaces where I go are drive right in straight, thank goodness.
I am very very thankful for those types of parking spots
Pull your car's hood up to the rear-view mirror of the car parked above your space. Turn your front wheels to the left (toward the street) just a bit. From here you can back all the way toward the curb. You don't want to turn your wheel until your hood meets the the tail end of the car in front of your space. Works every time.
Visualizing that in my head...it makes perfect sense. Thank ya
The fist few times I tried, things got risky... lol I thought I'd forever be an insurers nightmare. My aunt was the only person I could drive with because she doesn't freak out like most people. It was wicked frustrating not being able to do something so simple.
She took me to the French Quarter in one of these:
I was 15 or 16... super embarrassed, but I was basically held hostage until I could successfully park it 5 times.
Wow, I know I would be at a loss with that car. I prefer smaller vehicles.
My drivers ed teacher marked me as passed when I was 15 because he gave up trying to teach me to park
Glad you had someone willing to help and not give up
I think she was secretly hoping I'd wreck it bad enough that she could get a new one ;)
It's tough finding someone who both knows how to drive and can let you fail repeatedly without melting down. Tough combo.
Just turn up the music if the screaming gets to be a nuisance and you'll figure it out eventually. lmao
Yes it is very tough. A friend of mine is supposed to teach me. Thankfully he has patience when it comes to me.
I know RIGHT!
I was told to park it somewhere... so I did and they called the cops
Years later, I was told to find any open spot... and they kept complaining until I moved it
Looks just like my parking
