Also about Politics+24Most calls for communism or other kinds of socialism in the US are owed to discontentment with the observation that the free market has been commandeered for the private interests of the select few. However, if we were to adopt communism, the same thing would happen to the means of distribution very shortly. Therefore, perhaps the solution to economic inequality and corruption is to periodically switch economic systems, the way people switch passwords. That way, corporate and government entities alike will have no time to work out ways to abuse the system before it abruptly swaps out on them. amirite?

Also about Politics+13The far right and the moderate left believe basically the same thing: that there's a corporate shadow government which now controls the media, the government, and the "free" market, and which, to achieve that control, has secretly perpetrated every socioeconomic injustice in the history of our country, and to some extent even farther back. The core difference is that the far right wants to call that corporate shadow government "the jews," wants to blame EVERY jewish person for its existence, and wants to blame the victims of those past injustices for being unconsenting coconspirators. amirite? Also about crime+793They should have a "super episode" where one crime is solved by the cast of various crime dramas coming together. The cast of CSI can focus on the forensics of the crime scene. Those of Bones can focus specifically on the body. Those from Criminal Minds can develop a profile of the unsub. Patrick Jane of the Mentalist can fuck around with the suspects. And then they can throw in House to just shit on everybody and solve the mystery three tries in. Amirite?

Also about crime+47It is a very old trope that poverty creates crime, but it's a lie, crime creates poverty. Not only does crime directly destroy wealth as thieves steal expensive goods and sell them for pennies on the dollar, it drives away people who have money, and prevents people from investing money in those areas because your investment is not safe there and neither are you. Without crime, poorer areas are attractive to investors because the cost of property and labor are lower than other areas, so wealth flows in and poverty dissipates. But crime prevents that, it creates and perpetuates poverty. amirite?
