No clue. Probably around thousands. I can count more, but unless it's a necessity, I don't see myself doing it on my free time.

I've never had to count to thousands out of necessity, but I did it once out of boredom in a situation in which there was no other option of things to do (I don't remember how high it went, though). :P

Steve Ballmer was able to count up to a hundred.

No, it doesn't really matter. It's just a random question to see if people have some funny or curious stories to share.

950,000...it was the number of serial numbers I had to create for my former company.
