Is what we have not more than having nothing? We do not miss what we never had, but tend to miss what we took for granted, once we lose it.
I count my blessings, don't worry about what others have.
I'm not so sure about that, since it's pretty hard not to see what others have. Even feeling an occasional, passing twinge of envy, doesn't necessarily prevent people from being very thankful for what they have.
I think I understand what you mean, though. I do agree, that being covetous of what other people have, can become an extremely negative and ugly thing.
