Hell yeah, I think fallout the video game used that concept, since robots are not biological they are immune to radioactive materials and can work with them safely while remotely operated by people.
They aren't quite as immune to radiation as I thought they were. They had one in one of the reactors but had to withdraw it because the camera was damaged by radiation.
Still, I'm sure everyone would agree that a dead camera is far better than a dead human.
Really? Why is a camera affected by radiation?
