There are quite a few things which are supposed to take only two minutes, like making a short phone call, writing a short e-mail, brushing one's teeth, filling in a form, etc., according to theories and instructions
But in many cases, it takes longer, because most "operations" involve some "additional phases", interferences, an accident, a failure, or waiting times.
By the way, brushing one's teeth should take three minutes, according to the recommendations of the dentists - lol.
And the formerly classic, traditional coffee or "palate cleansing" breaks were known to take much longer, as discussing politics or football was and still is time intensive.
