I wonder what that bell boy did with those notes 95 years ago?
I wondered too. Although he must have saved them - else how do they turn up now?
I hope the bell boy himself got something out of the notes.
"You can't buy happiness, but you can park your yacht next to it." -David Lee Roth
But it is true that you can buy happiness: donate money to those who need it.
You don't have to be rich to buy happiness, you just have to be generous.
One of the things I like to do is, when somebody asks me for "a couple bucks," I give them a $20. That's usually enough to take the edge off a bit, you know, buy some food, maybe some smokes or a mickey, whatever they need. I think I might keep a $50 aside for the next time someone asks, because fifty buckses come and go around here pretty fast, but when you're broke and desperate, fifty bucks is huge.
Buying happiness? That is possible.
But it depends on the way you "buy" or "give" and how you feel about happiness.
What's very important is that you respect the people who receive your help or support.
