And now one nutcase is bringing Mary and Joseph into the picture. And some evangelicals will agree. Hypocrites.
Except the dem's rarely run on morality issues -
Neither side (or any politician [or any person]) should engage in sexual harassment or violation of another's personal space - but to be fair, the republicans have a history of making 'morality' an campaign issue and therefore should hold each other to that standard.
Dems, as I said rarely engage in moral condemnations - they absolutely should be held to high moral standards.
Bottom line, many on either side of the aisle are horndogs - so Repubs should stop pretending that they are more moral than Dems.
OK. That's probably a valid statement.
Since bannon decided he was gonna hand pick republucan candidates.
It's a whole new ballgame when a Republican is accused of this kind of crap. They sure hung Bill Clinton out to dry.
Exactly and this is even worse.... a 14 year old girl and a pervert....and nothing was done about it.
I suppose soon we'll hear that the girl shouldn't have been so pretty and that she asked for it.
Exactly.....this is how low the Republican party has sank..... guess if Trump got away with it, the rest of them can too.
I didn't like what Clinton did, but he wasn't the only president that has done that sort of thing, but Clinton paid a heavy price for it....but this jerk in Alabama will probably get away with it, those types always do.
Ahh, we're issuing sentences prior to trials now?
PS - Pot calling kettle black, much?
Painting with a broad brush...is an understatement.
The Judge should step aside immediately.
Whoa! Step aside? He's been accused - period. Is that all the dems have to do? Just make accusations a month before an election?
Come on bud. 4 women, some republican, with nothing...nothing to gain.
After that many years, no proof could be found, and the statute of limitations has long since run out.
The...#metoo thing is going to flush out a lot of people who have been protected by others fear and embarrassment.
Say, did I mention that Nancy Pelosi fondled me as a child? Pretty serious accusation, Amirite? Better dump her ass!
Playing doctor with a school chum doesnt count...
Yes Budwick, he should step aside. It is especially disturbing when one of the accusers was a child at the time of the alleged incident.
Only a few on the right have said those outrageous things, of course. As far as I know, anyway.
His wrongdoing is running as a republican.
How about a 14 year old girl, being manipulated by a man in his 30's? Beginning with the ruse of "helping" her mother.
I dont care how long ago it was, poor character is just poor character.
And if it wasnt an issue, why would he deny it??
If dating a 14 year old was so wrong, why wasn't it illegal? The women don't claim that he forced them to do anything, so all you have is a guy who was into younger women. Is that a sign of poor character?
It could be, if it was a pattern he repeated throughout his life, but the evidence suggests that once he found the right woman, he stuck with her, so I don't think it is a sign of poor character, just a preference to have a wife who is younger than him. If anything, I'd say that's prudent, since women generally don't age as well as men, so it's easier for a man to be loyal to a younger woman.
You know what I mean? Looks don't figure as much into a woman's desire for a man as they do for a man's desire for a woman, so the odds of still finding your wife desirable in 20 years is a lot better if she's in her teens than if she's in her 30s. That's probably not the most politically correct thing I could say, but it is what I see. It's smart to marry a woman who's younger than you.
From the woman's perspective, if an older man is on a good trajectory in life, a lawyer for instance, he's a better catch than a younger man, he's 10 or 15 years ahead of the game, and she gets to reap the rewards of his success long before she would otherwise. Her children will have a wealthier, more powerful father who will be able to provide them, and her, with a better lifestyle and greater opportunities.
I wont go into how i feel about all of what you said, at the moment. But maze...14 years old. That is a child. A man or woman in his/her 30's who would fondle and/or woo someone that young has a problem.
It wasnt illegal because men made those laws. I was 12 or 13 when i was messed with by a friend of my uncles in canada. He was probabIy in his late twenties. Never told anyone. I was ashamed, scared. But...i knew, there was nothing "normal" about it.
It is a piss poor position to put a child into.
HE should have been ashamed, but...wasnt. Im just glad i had the sense to not let it go very far.
Well, for better or worse, there was a line drawn at 14, he was on one side of it, you were on the other. When I was 12, I fooled around with a girl who was 16, and it brought up a bunch of emotions I wasn't ready for either, and a lot of them weren't positive. I was 100% in favor of it at the time though, lol, so I don't blame her. But I have a certain sense of where you're coming from with your experience.
To me, the accusations against Moore are just an excuse to demonize him. By all accounts he's lived a pretty tame personal life, married for 34 years, bunch of kids and grand kids, not exactly the picture of a weirdo, but that's what the Dems would like you to see him as. I think it's disingenuous, there would be no such moral outrage over his past relationships if he was a Democrat. I mean, look at Bill Clinton and all the stuff he's done, there was a lot more than just Lewinski, and most Dems give him a pass on that. So their condemnation of Moore rings a little hollow to me.
Heck, right now there's talk of the existence of a sex tape with Hillary Clinton, Huma Abedin and an underage girl, and how many liberal women supported her last year? But assuming it gets released (apparently Wikileaks has it already) I'm sure it will be no big deal to a lot of Dems. Heck, they'll probably call her a hero, a role model, a pioneer...
My battery is almost dead. But...i do not condone child molestation by any person of any gender, political leaning or wage braket.
And...i believe that story about a hillary sex tape as much as i do the story of a pizza parlor child sex ring:[
Pizzagate was about the apparent use of coded language in leaked emails exchanged by high level democrats, using terms that are often used by pedophiles to talk about child sex trafficking, not some pizza parlor, that was a red herring.
To characterize Moore's behavior as child molestation is inaccurate, he did not break any laws or force anyone to do anything, and nothing much happened. It's a nothingburger.
But driving home just now, the CBC said he "made underage girls engage in sexual activity" with him. Factually inaccurate as usual, my tax money pays for those people to lie to me, ain't that a peach?
I havent heard about force.
But.....the age of consent in alabama is and was 16. So..yes, it was child molestation.
Do you have proof he did anything.I just watched one of his so called victims. She had to read off a piece of paper to tell what he did to her.If it happened to me,it would be ingrained in my head.
I don't believe I would have to read it.
