650 Miles and 0 to 60 in 2 Seconds

If it lives up to the claims of Elon Musk Tesla's new roadster will change driving and at $250,000 it's not out of line. 0-60 = 1.9 sec. 0-100 = 4.3 sec. 1/4 mile = 8.9 sec.
top speed over 250 mph. Unfortunately it won't be ready until 2020 at best

Tesla’s new second-generation Roadster will be the quickest production car ever made‘Period’https://www.theverge.com/2017/11/17/16669024/tesla-roadster-2017-fastest-car-world

This is true.

at $250,000 it's not out of line?
Is that a joke? My house didn't cost that much!

For a car that does 0-60 in 2 seconds and the 1/4 mile under 9?
That's almost free.

Ahh, so for some one racing cars - it's a deal.

I like muscle cars too but 0 to 60 in 2 seconds?
That would turn my head.

If we could afford one, more than likely, we could afford both. I can't afford either. :(

Will you take a check? LOL

When they announce a new electric car that has a 650 mile range, that's a good thing. When they hit you with the $200,000.00 price tag...... that just took 99% of the American public out of the buying game.

I think it's great, although like a lot of new technology, it will be up to those that can afford it to be the early adopters, then over time the prices will drop and you'll get cars with batteries that can go much further. People will miss the annoying engine noise though, so I imagine future vehicles will be fitted with a sound system that plays V8 combustion engine sounds as you drive.
