Congrats to the Eagles. It was a fun game to watch and since I didn't care who won I had a great time. Let the car burning and riots begin in the city of brotherly love. Ha!
Actually, I had paused my tv so much that I was able to zip thru a lot of the game and watch the commercials - which were terrible IMO.
Don't understand the riots, etc after winning. My 'Stros won the world series, and there was not a single glass window broken, no fires, no looting, nothing except a huge city celebration with lots of class.
I tuned in at the end of the half-time show (I would like to have seen all of it because I like Timberlake) and then again during what should have been the last 5 minutes (which lasted forever), but I did watch until the end of the game.
I don't understand what the rioting was all about either. Disgusting and all involved should have been hauled off to the pokey and they should be made to pay for the damages they caused.
Absolutely they should pay for it. Why in the world should taxpayers?
Same with me, I was rooting for the Eagles, the Pats have won too many times. Plus the Eagles played great.
Great game.Just kick off earlier for us Brits!
I agree! Lousy calls!
I totally agree with that! The best are supposed to officiate at the Super Bowl. Instead? We got high school refs!
Bah humbug.... sore loser.
I don't usually watch all of a game, but I did that one. I thought it was a great game.
Usually on games there are a few bad calls, sometimes on the side I'm rooting for, but cant do anything about it.
I couldn't believe they didn't overturn the Eagles TD catch in the back of the end zone. The ball had clearly moved while her took his first step and his third was clearly out of bounds. I think Collinsworth said something like, if that's a TD I don't understand the NFL catch rule. I completely agree. As far as I can tell no one does.
I agreed with the refs on the other Eagles TD where the player lost control of the ball when it hit the ground. To me the guy caught the ball and started running, then dove into the end zone. If that play wasn't in the end zone He would have recovered his own fumble.
I didn't notice the illegal formation and to be honest, I never do. ☺
The helmet to helmet hit was a bang-bang play. I thought he had hit the guy with his shoulder until I saw the replay.
And Hogan was completely taken out of the final play by an illegal hit. It's like anything goes on the last play - why even have refs out there if they allow that to happen.
Overall it was an enjoyable game to watch. The offenses of both teams went crazy.
I paused my tv so much that I was able to zip thru a good portion of the game so I could see the commercials - which were a huge disappointment. I really didn't care who won, but was glad the Pats lost for a change.
Congratulations Eagles on a super great game.
all I did was say "EAGLES". don't get so uptight.
I know a good deal about football and the team I was rooting for won. Great day for me.
Because your whole comment reeked of bitterness.
On a post congratulating the Eagles, you make a very long comment listing reasons (that are easy to argue against) the Eagles didn't truly deserve the win and also praising yourself at the beginning and end?
That comes off as bitter. I downvote bitter.
