My favorite is my own chocolate chip.
A dunker, I am not. Soggy doesn't suit me.

I'm sure they have them at other stores, but I haven't seen them here except for the above mentioned store.

If having to choose from English cookies, I'd opt for Scottish Shortbread

We have a great choice of cookies in West Europe.

But for special cookies, my preferred are Amaretti:
Amaretti "alla Grappa" (or "al Kirsch")

Yes, they look a bit like a cupcake, made with two delicate almond "macaroon" halves, and with a Grappa or Kirsch chocolate filling in the middle.

Oh yes, the coconut macaroons are nice, we have them too, and one of the most appreciated is the "Petit-Beurre" (litterally "little butter", which is similar to shortbread.
