Also about gender roles+308It's funny that in the Hunger Games the gender roles are reversed. Katniss is brave but aggressive and Peeta is sensitive and likes cooking, amirite?
Also about Politics-22Libertarianism is just conservatism without religion, amirite?
Also about gender roles+173The only requirement to be a guy is to have a penis, and the only requirement to be a girl is to have a vagina. All other traits and characteristics we attribute to each gender are unnecessary and just establish gender roles. For example, guys shouldn't have to feel pressured to be athletic, tough, logical and the breadwinner of the family. Girls shouldn't have to feel pressured to be "feminine" all the time. There's too much social pressure to conform to the 'identifying traits' of each gender, amirite?
Also by VicZinc+14Let's get this straight, God had no problem creating Adam out of dust, and fashioning Eve out of a rib, but he decided it was better to sneak in, under the cover of darkness, to the bedroom of a 14 year old virgin, and knock her up, in order to "make" Jesus? That's pretty damn suspicious if you ask me. Amirite?
Also by VicZinc+61Technically, you cannot do anything you do not want to do. Consciously (or unconsciously) you have to will your body to physically move. So on some level you have to want to, or your body would simply remain limp. Amirite?
Also about gender roles-20Cinderella and Aladdin are the exact same story with the gender roles reversed, amirite?
Also about gender roles+14No matter how great it would be to have more gender equality than we do now, some gender roles aren't so bad, and people only try to remove them as a matter of principle just because they're gender roles, amirite?
Also about Politics-17people complain about capitalism when in reality its socialism and government over step that is really screwing us over, amirite? More
Also about gender roles+196Gender roles and social norms are silly. Seriously, why is it so shameful to let someone of the opposite sex see you naked? It's just the human body. It's a social stigma we attach to certain pieces of ourselves that are "dirty" or "forbidden", and in a way, it's hindering us from being comfortable with ALL of ourselves--not just the parts society says is "okay", amirite?
Also about gender roles+429It really sucks that there are gender roles, especially if we've got past the womens roles but not the mens. If a girl can play football and there's no problem, a guy should be allowed to be a cheerleader or be able to straighten his hair without being called gay or have judgement passed on him. If girls can be tomboys, guys should be able to be girly-girls, amirite?
