She thought it was just a mystery. A sticky, weird, non-comprehensive mystery. The laptop wouldn't come off the surface - a fairly regular table in this case - and there was nothing, that would make it a murder, even though it was a double-homicide...

Usually. Especially if it's a single book, or part of a series that I haven't read the prior books.
