If time didn't exist before the Big Bang, how could the Big Bang possibly have happened?

Good question.Nobody knows.

reality is something vastly different from what we believe it is

That's what they call the starting gun. :) Image in content

There has always been time; there has always been space, there has always been matter. There always will be. Those things are all part of GOD, who also has always been and will always be.

Just go back to my first comment. It's what I honestly believe.

Look, you think what you think and I'll think for myself.

Right it has gotta be a man things would be nicer if that was the case.

There could have been more than one Big Bang. Time is irrelevant.

Time existed... there just wasn't anyone to make or read a sun dial yet and call it time..

Short version:

"Who verily knows and who can here declare it, whence it was born and whence comes this creation?
The [lesser] Gods are later than this world's production. Who knows then whence it first came into being?
He, the first origin of this creation, whether he formed it all or did not form it,
Whose eye controls this world in highest heaven, he verily knows it.
Or perhaps he knows not."
