I don't doubt that... His diehards appear to desire such an event. God help us if they're given an excuse.
That is sadly true. I just recently saw someone here say they sometimes wished for one.
Since that berkley thing last year. It's unsettling.
If just a couple of the few here think that way, then how does that equate to the "base"? How many nutjobs would it take? Probably not that many.
I don't know, Carla. I can sort of understand the anger that leads to violence, sometimes, but I can't condone it.
Yes, it is surely unsettling that anyone would actually wish for another Civil War in this country.
I understand that anger, too. But...cooler heads.
I know that I notice, and am thankful for and appreciative of the cooler heads. I'm just about positive, that you are too.
Yes i am.
Yep, I've seen it... desire to inflict pain.
All I can do is pity folks like that, they're twofold consumed; once by their hatred, twice by the consequences of their deeds.
The universe has a funny way of swinging back...
That there, is about the most delightful "gif" I've ever seen.
Isn't it? It perfectly captures the truest nature of humans, huh?
Thanks for the tune, fork.
I loved that last quote: It's weird not to be weird.
Too many of them, yeah. *Sigh....
Only an idiot would want a civil war.
Yes, and it is both disheartening and disturbing to see people saying that they actually wish for one.
It also is, to see anyone wishing for the president to be assassinated. I've not seen that much, but apparently there are some people who have expressed that desire online.
Assault is never acceptable...
And Trump supporters are happy to dish it out as well, so much so that even he called them "vicious and nasty and violent."
I can earnestly say I've never engaged in or supported those who engage in violence. Can you say that? If you can't then perhaps you ought to pose that one to self... Or suck it up buttercup.
I not only never said self-defense was wrong, I never even implied it.
The difference is typically pretty easy to discern. One is an initiation of force, the other a response to it.
Violence is wrong, double standards are wrong.
Nah, I can't see it. Country would just move on
No way, nothing would change. The country would have a new president, life goes on.
No. Cant blame more than half the country on one nutjob.
I disagree and I doubt there would be as many people being upset about it.
No civil war
Perhaps if he was assassinated by an outspoken Leftist, and it was a proven conspiracy by multiple Leftist organizations.
Say a combination of Antifa, under the direction of the all so “Moderate” Council on Foreign Relations? With FBI and military help? Yup. It would get bad.
I hate the current President, but I would never want to see him (or any other President) assassinated. I doubt there would be a civil war because power would transfer to the Vice President.
Did you just do what I think you did?
