How many books do you read a year (excluding textbooks)? Counting the entire book read, but not unfinished, skimmed, or glanced at.

I'll count Manga, Graphic Novels, Light Novels, Novellas, and Pulp Novels.

Oohh, so that's a lot of books hehe. If someone can finish more than 20 books in a year, that's actually pretty good. I haven't gotten time to read lately, and i need to kinda settle down and focus when I do. I used to read a lot more as a kid, and even wrote short stories myself (unfinished mostly). Probably shoulda said more than that heh.

I've been trying to work on being an author, but my habits of never finishing things before I move onto something else, is always a demon. Mm, lack of reading can affect writing too, some people can write well and don't read many books, but i dunno. Gotta be some level.

tanor sometimes i don't really like a book started so i speed read that type. i was taught to respect books and never waste one. Usually I read on my kindle now to cut down on storage space.

Probably about 40 - 50.

Around 50, I guess. So far this year I've read 25 and two were 700-page non-fiction works (and that's in addition to all the articles and textbooks I had to read for college).

Reading is one thing I'm able to make good time for.

40 to 50 plus! I'm always getting books and reading. I love all genres and read a hell of a lot at night! Current book?

Oy, not bad.

If you care to share your actual e-mail address with me, I could send you certain books for you to read, assuming you are into the genres I am, which mostly consist of science fiction...

I want to be like you when I grow up. goo smilie

I read 1-2 per month and then listen to about 50 audio books a year because I drive a lot for travel. The library has been a blessing for many years. :)

That varies a lot.

I've never counted...by my estimation, though, has to be at least 30. :)

I cheated quite a bit. By the age of fifteen, I calculated I had read through 1500 books, so, even though I'm quite slow these days (yes, there's a pun included), it's still more than 21 per a year.

EDIT: My parents taught me how to read, when I was two and a half years old, so...

Not many, I don't read much anymore.

I read most of them online, so too many to count.

PDF & eBook are wonderful inventions. Some of the books come weirdly as pure HTML+CSS, which is a bit odd.

It depends on what is going on. I just read two books in two days but then life gets busy and it will take some time before I have that kind of luxury again. But it was great when I got to just read.
