If you think certain questions "stir shit" and make the site a worse place, is the solution to post a bunch of those questions you supposedly hate in a row?
Some people are remarkably immature. They have a choice to try and post content that they like, but instead they just wallow in crap.
That's what will ruin this site, when immature people think it's fun to stir the pot, with posts that they have dissed for many months. I guess they will do anything for attention.
I remember a few years back when I posted some political threads on here that I was very much put in my place by one prominent user at that time who "reminded" me that political posts were not welcome here.
Damn... should have stuck to favorite pizza toppings and favorite Taylor Swift songs like I had intended.
Lesson learned. Always follow your gut instinct............

Exactly. Just this morning it was said about political posts ruining the site, and then we get swamped with about 10 of them. I guess some will do just about anything to get attention. True colors sure came through today.
I think a lot of us have gone to another site, and it's become rather quiet here. So they haven't anything better to do except post some posts that no one will even reply to. Pathetic.
There are a lot of ex-sodaheaders there....and another one just joined....a very nice person. It was like a homecoming today.
I've been there off and on. And yes, there are a lot of ex-sodaheaders there. So far it's been great.
I think if anyone threatened anyone they would be deactivated ASAP. As it should be the rule on any opinion site. Threats are a serious thing, we never know who is behind those threats, and what they might do when mad!

I'm not accusing specific people of ruining the site. I just want to see less dumb political posts. I don't care if they're anti-Trump or pro-Trump or whatever. I think everyone here has the potential to ask better questions. So all I can do is try.

You're better off not knowing, it's been going on for way too long. He wasn't calling you Dennis, he was referring to my friend. All of that drama started way before you came and ended a couple of months ago when a good member was deactivated, but he won't let it go. He needs to move on. His obsession is like a cancer, it's eating away at him.

I know there's been some chatter about political posts.
I know some here REALLY don't like them.
My POV is that politics is part of adult life. I will read them, I may comment and sometimes post.
I only counted 5-6 political posts over the last 3-4 days. That doesn't seem like overkill to me.
It depends on the question and how they’re worded. Asking for people’s opinions on a certain politician or policy is fine with me, whether I want to answer it or not. Insulting and mocking in your post is not.
You’re a Trump supporter right? So if someone asks a question talking about how much they hate Trump, don’t you find that annoying? It’s those kinds of inflammatory questions that I’d like to see less of.

There are some real Knot-weeds that seem to be itching for a fight. I admit, if they don't have me blocked, I'll go in guns a blazin. And, I fully admit my stock in trade is sarcasm - but I really do try to make it funny and worth the point.

Don't have heart failure, but I agree with you. lol In fact I thought the political posts have really tapered off until yesterday when there were 11 in a row, not sure why that happened, and probably more today. I guess someone is trying to make a point.
