I love being a developer! Great team and this game is going to be great and 3D too!
This is my first glance, didn't look into it in detail. It looks like you are adding different types of camouflage patterns to the tanks, but since it's just one big image rendered to cover the whole 3-D structure, I'd say it's not very convincing. Yes, it's efficient, but even using a smaller texture size and adding it to the model (sides for example), would still give a more accurate rendering accuracy.
Game is just in it's infancy and will look better the more we work on it.
Yes, first things first. But... Still... Some of the options should be added first, so it wouldn't be a last minute catch-up. If you ever need an AI programmer, here's someone, whose whole persona is built on an AI.
We have some good ones! The best guy is in Norway!
Holy Hell! You went for a Norwegian?! Now I know, how this world is going to end. Boom!
Hey! He already was working for them before I got there!
Alright, you are excused from the class, Robt. Just take the corridor left of us.
I think they look cool realistic , those it's a bit hard to tell with them just sitting there and not moving like they might be in a game.
Of course, if the players can to choose the skins (they may not, but if they do) then maybe there should be some unrealistic ones for personalization... of course I think the game is being made purposely to be realistic, so that's probably a bad suggestion. I just know some like cool looking unrealistic.
After it's produced? You can make your own "skins" as you like.
I was looking for something with lightning bolts but this is the closest I could find. I like it the bright graphics. Of course that would be horrible if part of the game was to hide or blend in from shooters.
If your Panzer sticks out too much? You'll be the first one fired on! LOL.
Too bad I can't change the landscape to match my tank :P but it makes sense.
Great pic there!
Nothing like looking down the barrel of an 88 on a Tiger tank!
Yup nothing like looking down any barrel.
Heck I'm displeased even going into a gun store and they're test holding a gun pointed in my general direction. I know it's empty and not directly pointed at me, but still, don't like the feeling.
Also you just reminded me when I visited my brother on a Military base. There were these tanks running around that slight shook the ground... and people made sure to not be in their way, but there was something even scary.
Deer... YES deer, who would literally stand where ever they felt like and they wouldn't move an inch even with a tank going speeding towards them. Not even when the tank for feet away.
I later learned it was illegal to kill those deer and they learned it or knew they were safe and so they literally had no fear of anything, which is crazy. (Once a year, for a very short time, they did have open season on them to thin them out some, you had to be highly regulated because those deer would stay so close to human and buildings, you had to have people that were willing to refuse to take a dangerous shot to others).
