I have a lot, but I'll put the one I'm listening recently.
Any and / or all. I still have my radio shack record player and vynyl records
It's with an "i", dear... "Vinyl".
OOPs to that, I am hopeless at spelling, if the spell check doesn't alert me then I really make a mess when i type, fortunately for me I can talk better than type so people don't know how hopeless i am most of the time...
Elton John amongst many.
I have heard the rumor, that he might be gay... Wait that was 30 years ago. Oh, am I the worst time traveller this world has seen.
I am sure he was married to a woman for a time
Well, then he's bi. I don't care, for me, sexuality is a non-factor.
In my list too.
Well, that was uplifting.
Like a Boy:
And more recently - Level Up:
I lost track of her through the years, but it's good to see her around.
This is extremely wonderful, since I haven't had any understanding of Portuguese music and... Well... stuff? (As an excuse for losing the words...)
Loool xD If you want some Portuguese songs, I can post some that I like.
Amor Electro - A Máquina
Boss AC - Que Deus:
Here are the Lyrics in English (some grammar is wrong, but it works anyway):
There are questions that must be asked . . .
Whoever you may may be, wherever you may be,
Tell me if this is the world that you desire,
Men pray, believe, die for you,
They say that you are everywhere but I don't know if I've yet seen you,
I see so much suffering in the world I ask myself if you exist,
Where is your joy in this world of sad people?
If you teach the good why is it that we are bad by nature?
If you can do everything why don't I see food on my table?
Forgive my doubts, I must ask,
If I am your son and you love me why is it that you make me cry?
No one has the truth what we know are hunches
If blood is spilled in your name is it because you permit it?
If you gave me eyes why is it that I see nothing?
If I am made in your image why is it that I sleep on the pavement?
Could it be that asking for peace between peoples is to ask for too much?
Why is it that I am discriminated against if we are all equal?
Why is it that Men behave themselves so irrationally?
Why is it that wars, sicknesses kill more every time?
Why is it that Peace does not pass from being an illusion?
How can Man love with weapons in hand? Why?
I ask for forgiveness for these questions that must be asked
And if I choose my path, will it be that you will accept me?
Who are you? Where are you? What do you do? I don't know...
I believe in Peace and in Love
Please don't let evil enter my heart,
I call your name for me in hours of affliction,
But you have so many names, you are King of so many thrones,
And if Man is born free then why is it that some are masters?
Who invented hatred, who was it who invented war?
Sometimes I find myself thinking that hell is a place here on Earth,
Don't let children suffer because of adults,
The sins are the same that change the cults,
They say that you taught Man to do well,
But in the book that you wrote each one read what was a convenience to them,
I pass nights in white almost sleeping to think,
So many questions, so many things to explain,
I interrogate myself, I think about the destiny that you gave me,
And everything that happens is because you wished it that way,
Why is it that you set me to fight and take away who I love?
Could this be the very justice that I always proclaim?
Could it be that we only perceive when it reaches our heights?
If chance from that side is the most pure happiness,
But if it does nothing, I have nothing to fear,
Death does not scare me what scares me is the way of death...
The more I try to learn, the more I know that I know nothing,
The more I call your name the less I understand what I called you!
For the more answers I may have the doubt is greater,
I want to learn with my defects, to wake up a better man,
I respect my neighbor so that he may respect me,
I think about the origin of everything and I think about how the end will be,
Death is the end or is it a new dawn?
If it is to start again then I already can die...
(Far off it stills blazes, the barge of fantasy,
My dream ends late,
To wake up is what I didn't want...)
There's Mariza, which sings Fado, which is the traditional Portuguese music.
Ó Gente Da Minha Terra -
And here is a list of famous Portuguese songs: https://www.learnportugueseinli...rtuguese-songs
Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Van Morrison, Emmylou Harris, Elton John, Gordon Lightfoot, James Taylor, Cat Stevens....to name a few.
I know some of those from my childhood. Haven't been following them recently. I have to change that.
Well, I'm not exactly following them either, Sofia. I still like and listen to their music sometimes, though. :)
Aside from Linda Ronstadt, I do know that most of them are still touring and performing.
Hey, good to see you :D
Mostly Linkin Park and System of a down
Carly Simon, James Taylor, Elton John, Santo & Johnny, ZZTop, Bob Seger
I have been practicing with the first six, but now I think the rest two thirds will get me drunk. What was the question again? Oh... I'd go for... David?
"Being Boeing" would go better with the song. A story of an airplane, that's stuck in a constant fix-me-up loop.
Too many to name. I loved the music of the 60's and 70's.
THE 50's is my favorite. You know every word they are singing and
each song has a story. Today's music is crap.I think they are all strung out on drugs.
Like the 50's too.
Your opinion of today's music tells me you don't know much of today's music.
I don't call todays music very melodic.
Maybe you should open your range. I'm going to take a guess here and say you're basing today's music on just mainstream in the USA? There's a lot more than that.
I'm sure you are much younger then I. So we have different tastes
Yes, I am younger and I'm sure that doesn't dictates much of my taste in music. But let's agree on disagree.
