In my early years I was a space nut. Even had a little planetarium in my bedroom. Spent many an evening peerong at the moon thru my little telescope. Even rigged it so I could take photos of the moon.
YA know, I've tried. But, I could never get decent view. I think I needed a better tripod because everything was so jittery. And, it was always such an odd angle to twist my head around. So, I gave up on telescopes.
Now, I have had fun looking through binoculars at the moon. And of course ended wishing I could see it a little better - maybe I should drag out that telescope again.
I think this guy was looking at the wrong kind of moon. Ha!
My telescope is always full of booze, when I go hunting the Moon.
drink it
Must do it one day
I'd much rather look at the telescope itself.
Yes ... many times in the desert and on camping trips. We also had a great telescope at the university where I worked.

It's a viscous cycle!
I bet they're really cool.
I'll bet they're really expensive too.
I'll just keep my membership to the planetarium.
