Apologising if you've done wrong is certainly not a weakness; in fact, it's quite the opposite considering how difficult it is for many to give a sincere apology.
But apologising too often and bending over backwards for people is the sign of a doormat.
the way i understand that saying is to never apologize for standing up for what is right, no matter what the world thinks, to do so would indeed mean you are weak
obviously not saying sorry when you did something wrong is not proper.
I agree with that. You should not apologize for standing up for what you believe is right. I might still want to apologize if, given hindsight, I realize I made the wrong call.
There is a difference between just being human, therefore no need to apologise, and being wrong. Saying you’re sorry for being honest is a weak and cowardly move. Acting all tough and not owning up to your wrongs is even more cowardly. Your self-proclaimed co-jo-nes won’t save you.

It was used in a military form.
It shows you're not perfect, that's true. But not saying it is wrong for what I see. If people screw up, they better apologise if they mean it.
If someone in my live is incapable of saying sorry when they do something wrong, I won't like them very much.
You would have to see the old movie to really know what he meant. It was used in a military form.
Ah, I think I get the picture.
It's what he said to one of his Troopers when he made a mistake.
That pretty much sums it up, bo.
Perhaps, but not apologizing for your misdeeds is worse in my book.

That was a good movie, and in that setting it was a true statement. I always liked this one though:
it depends, sorry is good to say to family and friends. Bad cowboys no.
I’ve said that to people. That being said, I’ve made myself a hypocrite. 🤔
Apologizing and saying you're sorry is a sign of strength in my opinion. It takes a big man/woman to admit when they are wrong and try to make amends.
Depends on how it is meant.

I agree, but if a person is wrong, then a sincere apology will do wonders for a friendship or relationship. Not sure about John Wayne. lol
never apologize to the left for standing up for whats right now matter how much hell they put you through.
And many people on the Left feel morally obligated to stand up to the Right. I hope calmer heads will prevail.
me too, not looking promising though
Like hell I won't!
