Yes, quite a bit. Mainly when I have to go to the Dentist(Monday). But I deal with it as I can. Course 10mg Valium helps also!
:( Sorry to know that your son has it!
At least it's good that the medication helps.
It definitely must be awful to see a loved one go through that... Good thing that the meds help.
No...only if I'm being attacked by a bear, or something like that.
I'm more into angst, myself.
Sorry to know that you have that.
I wanted to ask: How is your angst like? And in what sense do you see it as being different from anxiety? (If you don't mind me asking.)
Angst is more existential in nature. It lacks the focus of anxiety.
I also have known bad things were going to happen, premonitions if you will, but often I don't know the what or the who, only that something bad has or is about to happen that will affect me or someone close to me. I also dub the feelings of anxiety, dread, and fear I feel in those situations "angst" simply because there is no focus, no identifiable cause for it...just a knowing.
Thank you for the explanation!
Normally, I can very clearly know why I'm anxious (even if I have to organize my thoughts first). Sometimes, the reasons are valid, but sometimes they are actually small and it's just overkill.
I think most of us sweat the small stuff too often.
This song says it all. :D
But yeah, sweating the small stuff is probably something that way too many people out there can identify with.
That it does. :)
Fairly often...in certain situations. Although I try not to dwell overmuch on the things I have very real reasons for concern and "anxiety" about...I do not always succeed.
I understand... Sometimes it can a real struggle to switch your mind off of some things.
Yep - Sorry to know that you have it.
Nothing a decent scotch on the rocks wouldn't smooth out. :)
Nothing but for the last ten years.
That sounds like a lot to deal with - Sorry to hear that!
Just when I'm driving in heavy traffic.
