Therefore $2 million in nickels becomes a whole number again. 440,925 Pounds. Wonder if that’s intentional?
somebodies calibrating a scale
I actually wonder what all the other $1 values would be to create whole #s in lbs? Other than multiples of 2 million obviously.
That is assuming 2$ in nickels (40) = 0.440925 lbs. amazing that works it’s way back to a whole number.
I'm gonna take your word for it. (Do I get a share of the million?)
Yes, but only what you can carry unaided in one trip.
Uh oh .... looks like I won't be getting rich.
You would be right if the nickels all had their specified mass of exactly 5 grams, but in practice, there is a standard deviation of about ± 0.04 g in the mass of newly-minted nickels.
That means if you had 20 million random (new) nickels, the uncertainty in the total weight would be about ± 0.4 lbs, within a 68% confidence interval.
If you want to be 95% confident, give it ± 0.8 lbs.
Very nice. :)
Yup. Lots of great scenes. :)
I actually have to wonder if $2 million in nickels is even something anybody can get? Though if you were a multimillionaire. Having a storage space big enough for $2 million in nickels would likely be one of the safest investments on Earth.. who’s going to rob you? Lol.
Scrooge McDuck had the right idea.
