Of course it can ... and had for thousands of years prior to film.

Sure! I love a lot of the movie themes, but film is a relatively new invention. People have been writing and performing great music throughout history.

I don't think they had that many cinema cameras around, when the music was invented. Probably started with jumping on really sharp pebbles. "Woooah!" was the first voice in the cappella, followed by "Weeh!" and "Wowoeeeh!"

Yes but vise versa wouldn't work. Can you imagine a movie with no music at all?

Actually they did, well not the movie itself but there was a guy playing a piano in an old timey way right?
