More time wasted acquiring useless knowledge.
I've learned a lot from watching cooking shows...Alton Brown is a culinary scientist.
Alton Brown is great, I learned a lot from his show. Same with Giada, learned a lot about blending flavors, but I learned the most from taking a few culinary classes.
Giada is too beautiful to be a cook.
Lol...Well, she cooks...and does it well.
If I was a guy cook I'd be hitting on her non-stop... I keep thinking...how many of you have slept with her? ha ha.
He is good. I can't tell you one practical thing, though...that i've learned.
Practical: Traditional methods of food preservation...Fermentation, curing meat, canning, dehydrating food.
Ask yourself: Will I starve if restaurants and grocery stores run out of food?
Yes. That is practical and can be learned from a google/book.
Meanwhile...a lot is over-rated! I;ve had gnocchi...it's like potato filled perogys. I've cooked and had scallops in a 4 star restaruant...nothing much more than seafood. Nothing to rhapsodize about!
Not like the first time i had mango.
Okey-doke, then... I agree...Have a nice weekend.
I learned how to cook a long time ago, so I watch the shows sometimes for entertainment only.
I've learned more.. from the back of a Campbells Soup can..
Lol...Them Campbells Soup people are pretty good cooks.
Chicken pot pie soup and a grilled cheese sandwich is every bit as good, as some hard to pronounce dish...lol
Indeed...What the hell is Viciouswaa and Hossinpepper? ; )
Klingon or something....
Wrong spelling, but I don't speak cartoonese.
No kidding. I've learned from these shows... Like Sou Vide? But do i have that? Not. Very little of what i've learned actually translates into better cooking.
Although i've learned how to be afraid of Gordon Ramsay...
Gordon Ramsay is a maniac..
