The war on Christmas turns out to be a real thing. Unfortunately it is being led by Trump, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. They all seem giddy over laying off 1/2 a million Americans 3 days before Christmas.
I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh, watch Fox News etc., so, not sure about that.
You forgot one important thing though...
They're getting a lot of help from Grinch (The Russians).
That's what I hear.
I'm feeling kinda sorry for them, now. I don't think Vic's going to invite them to his Kumbayafest. :(
Yea, I'm sure they would've enjoyed that.
HA HA HA! Whelp... I suppose we could have our own Deplorablefest.
We could give out coal for presents and drink flat soda and sugar free lemonade.
Or drink beer from red solo cups and throw ice at people. ;)
That's getting a bit rowdy...
Yeppers. Gotta live up...er, down to our image.
But all that plastic would end up in the ocean
Nah, I'm cheap... I wash and reuse. I also found a way to recycle plastics on YouTube.
Should't that be flat diet soda? We don't want an obese nation!
Don't forget Ann Coulter.
I wonder what her name was before her sex change operation?
An outcome easily prevented...by the Democrats.
Two days ago there was an agreement, but Trump had a temper tantrum and went against his promise to sign. The problem I have is who is running the government, Trump, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter or Fox News?
Trump said he would be proud to shut down the government if he didn't get his way.
Well he took Ann Coulter's advice over his own General. that should tell the righties something....lol
And as usual, he's blaming the democrats for something that he has caused, typical.
From everything I've learned, negotiation means you give the other side something. Trump is not willing to give up anything, if he doesn't get his way he will shut it down. To me that isn't a winning tactic to take.
He's acting like a spoiled brat, if he doesn't get his way, then the heck with every body, he doesn't care about the people that will be losing their paychecks.
Rush Limbaugh is totally off my radar, and I only watch Carlson on Fox, so I cannot really comment to them. As for Coulter, I heard tell Trump un-followed her on Twitter, so I doubt she has any influence over him.
I saw where he said that. I didn't really care for Pelosi or Schumer's attitudes myself. But that's just me.
The wall is a yuuuuuge issue with Trump supporters. And I do know many are being quite vocal about it. Last night they were burning up the phone lines to the WH to express their opinions.
Though I don't think the wall is the answer, I think they have every right to phone the WH and voice their opinion. I don't know whether the wall will ever be built or not, and since I don't really care one way or the other, I can sit back and just watch what happens. I do know I don't want any of my tax dollars going for the wall though. that veteran who started the go fund me page, I have a lot of admiration for him. At least he is doing something he believes in himself.
I get that many do not want it and do not want their tax dollars going towards it. That's why I posted about that GFM campaign. I like the idea of people supporting what is important to them.
We actually did something similar here with health care. Our county voted for a millage of just under 1 mill to provide basic health care to people living in our county who had none and didn't qualify for any government programs and met income guidelines. It's basic, but gave people doctors visits, tests, and prescriptions with a small co-pay ($1-3). We just renewed it in November because the ACA wasn't the end-all be-all it was claimed to be. That program is local, a community looking out for itself and each other...not something forced upon us by assholes in DC who haven't a clue how the average person lives. And unlike the ACA, it doesn't have a lot of bullshit tacked on, and it isn't designed to enrich corporations or stockholders...it's simply set up to benefit our community. And there is full transparency and annual audits on the monies collected and spent with reports made public.
That's the way it should be.
I think so.
Wasn't it Tip O'Neil who said - All politics are local? It really is, or should be.
I don't know, but with very, very few exceptions... I agree.
My admiration for this guy just dropped 100%. https://www.politifact.com/trut...-fundraiser-a/
I think you're right. Trump is throwing a temper tantrum if he doesn't get his wall, with no concern for all those federal employees that will be losing their paychecks right before Christmas. And of course, won't give a damn, he'll be down in Florida playing golf every day and having a wonderful Christmas. Bah Humbug!
