I haven't either, but have friends who have.
I have used it. It was fine, but I didn't have a crazy fucker driving it. :)
Ya know, there are a lot of things I've done that would have horrified my folks. I have gotten into strangers' cars for a ride in sketchy areas, at sketchy times, and under sketchy circumstances...I always trusted my gut, though. Of course, I can never prove out the times I turned down rides would have been dangerous, because I did not take them...but I've come to trust my spidey sense.
HA HA HA! Sure you wanna let me into your vehicle?
You Southern boys are easy.
Nah, I sidestepped that, but, whoops...watch out... :)
Good thing! 😘
I don't know what to say about that. People are just crazy.
They've always been amongst us.
Kind of the luck of the draw, whatever car for hire one gets in. The devil figure controlling him, reminds me of some X-Files episodes. Seems he didn't kill any of his fares.
Yup. No, he didn't. Kept taking fares, though, between shootings.
That's what I read. If I had to hire a car to get somewhere, I'd probably feel more comfortable with calling an established taxi service. Don't know just how much difference there really is, though.
I don't imagine there truly is much...if any. One could run across a crazed person anywhere...or nowhere.
They DID, sometimes! And sometimes, their husbands weren't around to drive them, so they drove themselves to and fro! I often drove when I was married, with my husband right there in the car!
Oh, dear me...I'm feeling faint.
I'd love to, thank you! Who's playing?
For entirely personal reasons, based nowhere in actual knowledge of ability, I must back Clemson.
Cool, what's for supper?
You promised me a sammich...you will feed me. Trust me, ya don't want me haunting you forevermore. I get really cranky...
I can smack it down...g'head, test me.
Really? Perhaps I should have added some emojis in there..just in case.
HA HA HA!
What does family units living happily ever after have to do with husbands driving their wives to and fro.."she wondered".
Families still often protect each other, I think, when they can.
(Oh my...I'll just sit quietly over here....)
You're an asshole...but you knew that.
I am? I doubt it, based on what your perception of "feminist" seems to be.
No, but then neither are you, the "anti-feminist".... living happily ever after with your wife or significant other.
How so? This Uber driver shot, injured and killed what seems to have been random people, in three different locations. As far as I know, none of them had hired an Uber driver.
He was an Uber driver. I figure that's why "the media" mentioned it. If he had been a postal worker, nurse or the CEO of a company, that would likely have been mentioned. People who snap and fatally shoot several random people in the course of a day, are not generally referred to as "serial killers".
People have been using Taxi cabs for a long time. Very often, it has nothing to do with whether or not they have a husband, wife, or family. From what I've heard or read about people using Uber, it doesn't have much to do that , either. It is usually Uber drivers who get killed or injured by people who call.
I've never had to hire an Uber driver, myself.
Right, and if he hadn't been born, he wouldn't have been there at all.
When my husband and I were in NYC, we used taxis a few times. That is because we'd traveled there by train, you see, and therefore did not have a car to drive each other to and fro. I'm pretty sure that is often why people use something like Uber, and has little to do with any destruction of the family unit.
I believe there are many factors involved in the decline of the "family unit". I do doubt that so-called feminists are the main one, as far as those units living happily ever after...or not.
We were, and used a hired car. So do other couples, when they are away from home and don't have their own car.
What was your point again?
Once again...the people who were killed and injured by this Uber driver had nothing to do with whether they were husbands, wives or a "family unit". You are absolutely RIGHT...people are somewhat less likely to be murdered by any hired driver, if they don't need one.
Since I do not think men suck, only want one thing, or are horrible...I guess it is who you must think so.
No, I just have never thought that, so was wondering why you threw it in there in a reply to me.
I've already said several times, that I do not think people using Uber or any other car for hire has a lot to do whether someone has a wife or husband. You apparently do, and you've sure made that clear.
I don't think there is either, RL, as long that depending on doesn't turn into something concerningly controlling on one side.
My own feelings about it, have nothing to do with what any media power has ever said. I do also personally know of quite a few young people, who are married and depend on each other.
I'm thinking our exchanges are taking up too much space here though, on a post about contradictions and a murderous Uber driver.
Probably not. Maybe you oughta' submit yet another post about the evils of feminism, liberalism, and "the media".
And wives and mothers drove their husbands and children...and life was good and...
One would think...if they only listened to millennials, who have this new meme blaming boomers for all that's wrong in the world.
Lol, I know.
Eh... I may be considered obsolete, but a select few still find me relevant.
That's fair. I don't listen to them.
never before has a killer been described as their occupation especially by company name .. this to me sounds fake on that grounds , uber is the fastest growing business this decade and is under constant fake news attacks. msm will only sell what is believable. right now uber drivers are the boogie man. I have driven for uber myself and if you wanted to get away with murder it would be easier to be the passenger because they don't do intensive background checks to passengers like they do drivers or do drivers check accounts when friends buy rides for their friends. every driver has had a horrible passenger they wanted to kill who reports on the smallest problem but mostly are hard working people trying to get by. the real murderers are the uber executives who rape the profit from their drivers.
To ease the minds of unreasonable fears of the passengers uber installed a button on the app that goes directly to 911, I guess dialing 911 was too much work. i'm sure this idea was scrubbed or will be because of sjw's using it to punish an inappropriate comment made by a driver instead of real emergencies . I was reported for having a conversation with someone and they didn't like the topic, I was furious that this passenger was trying to tell me what was acceptable in my own car. they didn't confront me about it so I could correct my talk they just reported me behind my back. You are a private contractor as a uber driver you don't work for their company but they still try to treat you like a employ without all the benefits. more often then not the drivers are the vitims in the dispute. A lot of people use uber while drunk and act like it. I stopped working last call at bars because the people were sometimes out of control.
uber is much better than taxis because its the drivers own car so they are cleaner and drive better to avoid damage to their cars. uber really is saving lives acting as a cheap designated driver and passengers are less creeped out from uber drivers then taxi drivers because when you pay upfront less women get propositioned to pay for their rides with sex. uber is good don't believe the news!!!
This wasn't intended as a critique of Uber drivers, so climb down off your high horse. It was an exercise of irony.
I was just educating people with my experience again, you can't learn that online
What can or cannot be learned, and how, depends upon the student.
depends more on credibility , it's easy to believe what you want to hear
You are not "educating" those who aren't listening. Just sayin'...
The three faces of unknowncondition? BWAAAAAHAAAHAAHA!!!
i'm just a figment of your imagination
Oh good...proof that you're real.
Pardon my language but how retarded must a person be to murder his passengers as an uber driver?
With today's technology we leave digital footprints because be sure that your smart device does track your location and law enforcement can easily follow those footprints and as an uber driver this guy would be the last known person to have seen these people alive and he can bet his ass the police are going to search every millimeter of him.
The weird thing with this guy was he murdered people between passengers. He killed, then did a fare, then killed, then another fare...
