Is this an example of what Zuckerberg and other liberal elites think of the shrinking middle class?

"A spokesperson for the hospital confirmed that ZSFG does not accept any private health insurance, describing this as a normal billing practice. He said the hospital’s focus is on serving those with public health coverage — even if that means offsetting those costs with high bills for the privately insured."

Zuckerberg San Francisco General’s aggressive tactics leave patients with big bills - VoxI spent a year writing about ER bills. Zuckerberg San Francisco General has the most surprising billing practices I’ve seen.https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2019/1/7/18137967/er-bills-zuckerberg-san-francisco-general-hospital

it's kinda sick how Zuckerberg s name is even mentioned in this article . he donated a large money but can't ensure they use it properly. this sick hospital is hiding behind the hate of the elite.

I'm quite sure Zuckerberg doesn't give a damn about what that hospital is doing to the middle class with its insurance acceptance policies.
If he did, he would only have to say the word, and they would snap to it.

yeah but a real journalist would have attacked the actual doctor, who signs the waver's everyday. the guards in the holocaust were just as guilty as Hitler.

I'm not aware that the attending physician has the authority to grant an individual patient a payment waiver.  He/she works for the hospital after all.  Do you have a reference?

And yeah, the Holocaust guards were guilty of plenty, but not quite as much as those in authority who set up the system in the first place.

@unknowncondition they have no authority but they have a conscious

In that case, the doctor should resign and work somewhere else.

Or maybe try to get the staff to go on strike, unless the hospital changes its policies.  But then the doctor would probably be fired for being a troublemaker.

@unknowncondition if you ask me all the good doctors become vets

i'm not saying their aren't any good hardworking doctors but something's got to change, if the doctors (the ones doing the actual work) don't have the power who does

Well said, Theseus.
The elites care nothing for the unwashed peons, except as a source of power and satisfaction.

looked like 10 worth of gauze ,10 dollars worth of plaster ,10 dollars per x-ray, 10 of disinfectant. total cost 40$ and my 7 year old niece could do better with a paper Mache cast . Ha this is really what they think it cost.
Stay heathy people unless you want your body molested and your wallet raped.

@Thinkerbell Progressive politicians are experts at both of those activities.

doctors are the new politicians soon they will be gods that you will warship for a cure to your diseases

Only if you can afford the very best doctors as a private payer... you know, the ones reserved for the ruling elites, for whom money is no object.
The rest of the doctors will be co-opted into a 2nd-rate, single-payer system.
