Identical twins send DNA to 5 companies...get 10 different results.
Agreed. I wouldn't be surprised if it is being collected from newborns and routine blood tests already.
I've said this for years. Everyone will be cataloged and monitored in the future. The Scifi novels were not very far off.
No, they weren't. Several years ago I read about a nurse in the Pacific Northwest who claimed that newborns were already being chipped. I could never verify it, and as tiny as the chips were then (about the size of a grain of rice), it seemed like the parents would have felt it, given the level of care and attention babies require. It's not beyond possibility that they could make them smaller, though, especially today.
That is an interesting concept because they could only monitor the babies. If they tried to do anything else with the information they would be exposed for the chipping.
It boggles my mind the people who voluntarily let themselves be chipped in the name of convenience. ????????
Back on SH there was a guy who was adamantly opposed to Common Core. He did an excellent post that I believe I was the only respondent to, though I tried to get folks to read it. It was looooong, though. I did read it and followed all the links, as well. It was very enlightening. It was the blueprint for an Orwellian society. Everyone thinks that CC is just standards...but it goes far beyond that. A file that would follow one throughout their lifetime was to be made on each newborn, preferably within 24 hours.
I bookmarked the post and referred back to it often for links. Unfortunately, we got booted, the site has been wiped, and I hadn't copied links and PDFed the webpages. Try as I might, I cannot find the links today. They were to the implementation of CC in his state, but since I cannot locate them now, I wonder if he wasn't a teacher or employee elsewhere in government. I haven't run across him on any sites since then.
Yeah, that makes mine boggle, too, Ozzy.
I believe he was spot on especially after I read the real definition of sustainability, as we have discussed before. CC is just another avenue of control.
We have a lot of kitchen table discussions over these topics. I've said it before, my job is to undo some of the indoctrination gotten at school.
No, I don't believe Jacob has two dresses as is taught in school, but I do believe in respect is due to all people regardless of their life's decisions. I hope the generations listening at the table get what we are teaching. I'm not sure it will be returned to them but we can only try.
Interesting speculation, and quite plausible.
Yeah, well so am I.
Probably get better results with carbon dating.
Ha ha ha...And that isn't what it's touted to be, either.
By doing these ancestry tests, you're basically allowing a company to control your identity. Since we know the analysis from different companies varies considerably, even if you got all 5 tests, at best it would only give you an educated guess, and some conflicting data. At worst, you would get a test from only one company, it's wrong (either through incompetence or deliberate manipulation) but you assume it's right, so you go through life with kind of a false identity imposed on you.
They say the inexactness is due, in part anyway, to not having enough samples to compare. From what I gather, as they acquire more samples, it looks like they use that to drum up repeat business. And frankly, excepting those homogeneous populations who largely tend to marry within their populations...most of us are mutts anyway, so I fail to see how there could be any accuracy for a large percentage of the world population.
Whelp, I've got English, German, Norwegian, Dutch, Finnish, and possibly Swedish roots...so I'm certainly a mutt.
HA HA HA!
Interesting, think of how much these companies can skew the results to get the answers they want.
That thought had crossed my mind, as well.
